From here in Texas, the prime viewing time commences around 11:00:00 PM CST.
Ugh. I am so not a night person! Clearly I need to move west so I can watch earlier! Is there some sort of "Best of the Water Hole" collection? I want that baby giraffe to come back!

did anyone see the herd of what looked like wild horses? They were too far away to get a really good look at when i saw them but manes and tails were obivious. They looked like horses to me.

Im watching some. I just assumed they were zebras, they are a little too far off to tell if they have stripes.

EDIT: they are zebras, they just came close enough for me to tell! There are some babies!! They are soo cute!

they were too big and thick necked to be zebras, brownish with dark manes and tails. IS there a wild horse in AFrica? I am going to have to get a species book. I want to know what the black faced monkey is too. I shared this link with some of my friends and one of them e-mailed me this info.

Nkorho Pan is brought to you by Africam.com, ranked as one of the top African wildlife sites on the web. We pioneered the live web cam industry in Africa back in 1998 when we broadcast live images from some of the wildest places on the continent. This was a world first and fast gained popularity world wide. Technology has moved on and we are proud to bring you the first of our live streaming cameras on the Africam Wildlife Channel.

Nkorho Pan is a natural water hole in the prestigious Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, in South Africa . Nkorho pan is named after Nkorho bush Lodge which gets it name from the Shangaan derivative for the call of the yellow-billed hornbill, a common and unusual looking bird from this area.

that's the end of the e-mail

I watched two young impalas play battling with their tiny short horns. I am going to have to get my sketch pad out and do some gesture drawings to see if i can incorporate in clay. There is nothing better then drawing from life.
Seems the best time for me to watch for the most animals is sundown. From 7 am to around 10 am. I thought dawn would be too but there is seldom anything to see. I wonder since there seems to be less animals when it is raining if there will be more as the dry season there approaches. I was fascinated with the baby baboons, couldn't tear myself away! The older ones were so gentle with the "toddlers" and i liked the way they all "lounged" in the grass as the day slipped away. I am so in love with this site!
Be careful Jess this is so addictive. My first time of viewing was a whole field of youngster impalas with their parents. They made Victor look slow! SOmething scared them at one point and zipppppp they were all gone in the blink of an eye.

hehehe there are two little ones play battling again. I can't believe but they must be the little ones i first saw. They have grown so fast.

Is this cam suppose to move?
It moved far to the left onto some lights..
Looks like a camp of some sort
Now there is a guy shinning his flash light from left all the way to the right right on the cam..
Odd?
I can also hear talking but cant make it out on account of all the bugs..

I posted this earlier..a friend sent the info to me

I believe that someone monitors the camera so we can see the best there is to view. Someone posted that it is motion detected but i don't think so.

It moved - I just watched it and it panned in on a hyena :)

I think someone is doing it.
