I'm looking into different bodyweight exercises to combine with my C25K runs. I'm unsure of how many different ones to do/how many reps/etc. Any suggestions?
Two approaches:
Sets of 8-12 reps per move. 2-3 sets.

As many as you can do in X number of seconds.

I'd say shoot for five moves per circuit. If you want to mix it up, make some flash cards by writing names of moves on note cards, pick five cards, bam. There's your workout.

Squats.
Lunges.
Burpees.
Mountain climbers.
Push ups and/or planks.
I like shoulder raises and rotator raises because I happen to think my shoulder muscles are sexy and want them even more defined; those are easy if you have dumbbells.
Dumbbell rows, great if you have weights but you can also do with just about anything heavy you can pick up.
Tricep dips. Tricep kickbacks, could be done with most heavy things like dumbbell rows.

Here's a big list!

I did it - I squatted my goal weight in BodyPump tonight.
Let's not discuss how difficult it was to pop the bar back over my head AFTER squats were done because that is irrelevant.
The point is I HIT THE GOAL.

I'm super stoked, I did 10 chin ups in a row yesterday! And then 8 more after a little breather.

I've been doing 3 sets of five pretty regularly, but I hadn't pushed myself to see how many I could just do consecutively for a while.

I've really noticed a change in my arm and ab muscles since I started doing chin ups regularly.

I am LOVING CrossFit. I can't imagine liking a workout more. I actually left my class yesterday, and already started to wonder what my next workout would be like.

The downside, my Nikes are definitely hurting my feet. I'm going to go back to some of my minimalist shoes and see if that helps. The arch of my foot is in a lot of pain today and that makes me sad and uncomfortable.

This is great news. You've found an exercise program that you love and look forward to. If exercise is something you dread or don't enjoy, you won't do it. Congratulations!

Barring some injury or other issue, it's possible that your shoes simply don't fit right. I have plantar fasciitis and when I wear ill fitting shoes it's greatly exasperated. The good news is that it's treatable. I do a bunch of stretches daily and keep a frozen water bottle around so I can ice it after a workout. The pain can be debilitating, but I've gotten to the point over the last month or so where it's mostly just annoying.

I lift in minimalist shoes! I know some people even lift in KSOs and the like. Go for it. Especially since CrossFit involves movement too, not just lifting, I think you'll be more than fine in the minimals.

I was 229.4lbs a few nights ago.

Did actual, proper grocery shopping. Have been eating pretty well (aside from a free churro and free brownie thing from Taco Bell, and some movie popcorn yesterday).

224lbs as of a few minutes ago. Eff yeah.

I haven't started C25K again or bodyweight workouts yet, but I'm planning to in the next week or so. Trying to find time to sit down and make a schedule.

I pinched my bad hip really horribly in the shower last night. How do I stretch it properly?

On the bright side, this is the first time it's gotten pinched since I started wearing my Vibrams. Win!

Hmm, when you say you pinched it how do you mean? Where does it hurt?

I did CXWork tonight after Cycling. I'm pretty sure my shoulders are going to hate me to tomorrow. Funny because people always talk about CXWork like it's an abs class but it's sooooo much more.
I also amuse myself because there was a squat track and I was like OH THANK GOD SQUATS. Similar to doing BodyStep a few weeks ago. HURRAY SQUATS. I CAN DO SQUATS IN MY SLEEP. THESE ARE GREAT.
I might have a squat obsession.

Was laying on my back and lifted that leg too far up at an odd angle, it felt like it was starting to pinch, didn't stop (ahem.), felt SUPER pinched, and then I needed help getting up, because ow. Super ow today. Did that help? I'm not sure how to describe it.

ETA I've been eating really well and I'm proud. Rick gets junk food and I sometime take a bite here or there, but I don't buy any for myself and I don't have any more than that. Woooo.

Try these - careful. You don't want to feel a pull or pain. Just a gentle stretch. Limit the reach and stretch if it's pulling and hurting.

http://www.yogajournal.com/basics/1808 - only lean as far down into this pose as to just get that stretch, don't force it. This one used to confound me but now it's one of my favourite stretches.

And of course the classic butterfly stretch:

It's weird because I don't measure ANYTHING. Like portion control has gone out the window, I eat like an animal.
I am here. I am still eating carbs, but now that I'm working out regularly, I have found I cannot ignore when I'm hungry. I feel very poorly if I ignore. So, I eat whenever I'm hungry, whatever I want, as much as I want. Luckily, I adore "healthy" foods, so that's a huge part of my diet. But, I also love things like oatmeal, so I have that regularly too. I love this feeling! I've dropped about 5 lbs on CrossFit, for a total of about 13 lbs. So far.

Brian and I just finished up Speed 1.0 on T25. I don't know if it's because of the carb overload I had last night at our anniversary dinner (Olive Garden... PASTAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! lol) or what but I had so muh energy throughout this whole workout today. more than I've had in a while :)

I like that Brian and I are doing these workouts together. makes it easier to stick with it and makes it more fun when you have a partner.
This is how I feel with the carbs too! I feel so much better/more energetic. I did not when I was not exercising, just felt bloated and slow. Maybe my body needed carbs and working out to level? I know I'm supposed to be doing Paleo...I'm bad.

I am the total opposite. Jason and I used to run together. I find that I'm much more strict about going to the gym when it's just me. Weird. :)

Overheard at whole foods "is french toast a carb?"

No.
No it isn't.
IF WE ALL SAY IT IT WILL BE TRUE SPREAD THE WORD FRENCH TOAST IS NOT A CARB IT'S A VEGETABLE AND ITS SUPER GOOD FOR YOU

fries aren't carbs either
neither is pasta
I'm game for this plan!

Let me pull out one of my fitness textbooks and see what else I can come up with. You can also do a lot of the same moves on the cable machines, I like them okay and generally you can keep your movement pretty lose and natural, but I just really like free weights. =P
Did you take classes for this stuff? Or just really enjoy it? You have an insane amount of knowledge.

I have NEVER been into lifting before, I cannot believe how much I LOVE it! :D
