Let's do it!!!! What are your weight loss (or gain if you're trying to gain) goals??? Let's encourage each other to reach those goals and help motivate each other.

I'll start...

I'm 5'2" and officially weight 214.1 lbs. I hate it so much and want to get back down to between 130-140 or so. I'd like to at least lose 50lbs this year. I would love to lose more, but I'm going to set my goal as of right now to 50lbs. If I lose that and want to extend my goal I'll do so.

My plan: First off I'm going paleo... still learning a lot about it, but I'm going to transition myself onto the paleo diet. I'm cutting out dairy, sugar, majority of salt and getting a vitamix machine so I can start eating raw green smoothies in the mornings.

I own a treadmill that I'm going to make it a point to use more often. I'd like to also get outside and run more often and when I hit my first goal of 50lbs I'm going to run a marathon.

I'm also looking into getting a bicycle so I can start cycling with my dogs (more than likely just Bamm, but might do it with Cricket as well and just alternate between dogs).

Height: 5'10
Current: 209lbs
Goal: Healthy. Probably about 170lbs.

Methods: Exercise more. That means walks/runs/biking/kayaking/swimming/hiking/sports with the dogs, start going to the gym, more cleaning the house and keep up with the yard, more sex, lol. Possibly trying out yoga? More fruits/veggies, less dairy, less grains. I already don't eat meat, so no biggie there. Try to have more raw and vegan days. More homecooked, from-scratch meals. I'd like to have a garden again this year.

Height: 5'3
Weight: 128
Goal weight: 110

Plan:
DIET
-cut ALL/most processed foods. Ive already done this mostly but still have a few bad habits that sneak in
- introduce more veggies into my diet (Spinach is my favorite..and I like tomatoes as well)
- more whole grain/less white. White pasta is my krypronite.
- smaller potions (I eat way too much pasta in one sitting)
- no red meat
- try to cut down on sugar (LESS sugary kids cereals lol maybe honey nut cheerios instead of lucky charms)

EXERCISE
- Martial arts classes twice a week
- Dog walker monday-thursday (can't help that) lol
- Go running at least twice a week..even though it's cold and gross haha
- Attempt to learn what weights even ARE and try those lol I know I need to get some lifting in. I am such a cardio bunny..
- Get those dusty insanity videos back out and attempt them.

Doggy plan: Get out with Merlin to really PLAY as much as I can. I love running around with him off leash :)

I started today. Ate a ton of bad for me foods in Florida as my last hurrah, and now it's diet time.

I'm doing clean eating/paleo/lower carb. Went shopping this morning and stocked my fridge with nommy veggies, meats, and some of the lower carb fruits. Also scored a George Forman grill for $16! I'm cutting out dairy for at least the first month, which is going to suck more than anything, I've saved so much money and had so much fun making my own yogurt. I have another starter pack if I decide to add dairy back in, but it makes me a sad, sad panda. I'm only eating sugar (non fruit sugar, anyway) in my tea, and that's just a tiny bit.

As for exercise, through the winter I am limited to what I can do outdoors (unless I buy cross country skii boots to go with my skiis, which I would LOVE to do), so I am going to be doing weight loss yoga. Eventually I would like to venture forth and discover what is in the gym of my apartment. Exercising really isn't the huge problem for me, because I like it! The problem is my eating, so that is my main focus at first.

I'm excited for this year!!

I have no idea how much I weigh, but I think I might just follow my measurements instead. I'm a uk size 14 (us 12?) and always have been.... I tend to go up to 14/16 and down to 14/12' and that's it.

My aim would be to be a comfy size 12 (us 10). Increase healthy foods, stop eating crap, exercise more. We have a running machine at the moment, so I'm going to use it! When my cold eases off a bit more..! And when the evenings are lighter, I'll be out a lot more with the dogs anyway :)

Do you have a Les Mills brand gym near you? Try taking a Body Pump class. I think you will love it. Got me addicted and the moves will carry you through to the weight room!

I'm 5'7" and 210lbs currently. Ugh... depressing. I'd also like to lose 50lbs ideally.

My main goals... just stopping eating crap! I eat sooo much junk. Fast food and pizza are my weaknesses. It's just SO EASY and I'm always in my car and out and about etc. I literally probably eat pizza twice a week, and fast food once or twice a week. Which leaves me very few healthy dinners. So really, my main goal is to stop drinking soda again, and stop eating junk. I think that will really help eliminate my main problems.

I'm going to allow myself pizza sometimes (it's my biggest weakness), but I've decided to try and make it healthy... I saw a recipe for using a whole grain tortilla, putting some marinara sauce and low fat mozzarella cheese on it, along with other veggies, etc, and wa-laa! A pizza for less than 180 calories. (Btw, any other *easy* healthy recipes like this... please share!)

Water water water. Drink more water! I definitely don't drink enough. We have well water and it's gross so I refuse to drink from the sink. So I'm just going to have to stock up on water bottles.

More exercise! I get bored just doing stuff inside on the elliptical, etc. I'm making an effort to walk with Jackson for longer distances and more often. There's a nice 'circle' about 15-20 mins away from me, in a nice neighborhood, and it's about 5 miles around. I want to do that at LEAST 3x a week. On the days when I don't have time to do 5 miles, I want to make an effort to at least walk somewhere else, even if it's only 2 miles.

Weights! Just little ones. We also have an exercise ball that does not get used. Same with my Wii Fitness... and dance games.. never used. Make more of an effort using the things I already have!

I KNOW I can do it... I have done it before, and lost 15lbs fairly quickly, then got back into bad habits again, and gained it all back. I really need to stay motivated, and I'm glad we all have each other!

I'm weaning into it today... I don't have all the food that I want, I'm planning on going to Trader Joes tomorrow. So today wasn't that great, lol. I had nothing else to eat for breakfast except a bagel so I did half of one (no cream cheese). I had a Chipotle gift card so I got a bowl (no tortilla) and didn't do a lot of extras (just did chicken, brown rice, corn, mild salsa, and a little cheese). Tonight we're having chicken breast for dinner, and I'm going to skip the mashed potatoes Mom is cooking and just do some brown rice we have in our pantry. So I'm totally unprepared today but first step... NO soda! I always get soda with my Chipotle but opted for water instead today. It's a start.

^healthy pizza? If you want to put a little effort in, we usually use big flat slices of eggplant, "bread" them by dipping in egg & I forget... almond flour maybe? Pan-"fry" quick, then put marinara (we use organicville.. no extra... anything. Lol) and some cheese, sometimes some pepperoni, and it's DELICIOUS. Also fantastic reheated the next day for lunch.

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 191 lbs (lost roughly 12 lbs since Nov 28th)
Goal: 150 lbs and tone up my legs, butt, arms, and back.

How I plan to do this: Right now I work at a horse farm 5 days a week for 10-12 hrs a day. I am on my feet 95% of that time. I am toning my butt and legs everyday but definitely need to lose my belly.
I want to walk more, start riding again, and get into training the babies/yearlings.

My end result - Lose weight, be toned, feel confident, wear shorts by the summer, and hopefully start talking to an Army recruiter again. I've always wanted to join, as y'all know, and i feel if i don't join then i will be letting down a dream of mine.

One of my favorite quick dinners! I just toss it under the broiler, and it is hot and ready in minutes. Just as quick as microwaving a frozen meal, and far yummier!

This sounds phenomenal. I think I might try it and just leave out the cheese. Thanks for sharing!

Goal: I don't have a specific weight goal, but I want to lose my belly paunch and be stronger. I'll probably end up gaining weight.

I'm lifting weights at home while watching TV, doing push ups, sit ups, squats--trying to build muscle. I need to stay active.

The only thing I've thought of so far is that if I'm good for a whole week I get to have a mug of hot chocolate or a Caribou coffee drink. But this will have to start in February since I really REALLY want to do a whole month without any dairy at all. I even chose a salad dressing that didn't have any dairy!

I think that getting new clothes will be a great motivator and happy fun time for me since I need new clothes desperately. I haven't gotten a new t-shirt in probably the last 2-3 years. Most of the ones I wear are from high school. The one I have on right now is from my middle school field hockey camp in 2003!! That's 10 years old!

I'm not admitting my weight for all of internet land to see.... LOL. But, more so than loosing "weight," I just want to shape up and get healthy.

Methods: I'm going to start by doing the juiced veggie detox diet for 2 weeks(think the documentary fat sick and nearly dead), after that I'm going to continue the Juice as my daily breakfast(except sundays). I'm also going to switch things in my diet for healthier options, like coconut oil instead of butter, agave or pure maple syrup instead of sugar, cut out anything that is not a WHOLE grain(no white rice, or bleached flour, etc), make my own bread to avoid all the chemicals and preservatives in store bread, no processed foods, and try to buy as much organic as possible.

I'll be doing daily walking and yoga/pilates.
