I am in so much pain today it's not even funny. I mean, it kinda is in that way I like to make fun of how bad things suck sometimes.
My legs hurt but it's nothing exceptionally painful... but even just sitting here at my desk with my arms down at my sides, my biceps/triceps are just plain aching. My shoulders scream whenever I try to do, um, anything. Trying to slice up my apple for lunch - ow ow ow! It's crazy windy out today and I decided to put my hair into a ponytail - I was wailing and crying while doing it because it hurt so much to put my arms up in that position. Then when I got back to work I had to open my car door... into the wind. I had to use my legs to push it open because I just couldn't do it with my arms, it hurt too bad.
And this is after I caved and took a fistful of Ibuprofen.

No gym tonight. If it doesn't thunderstorm I'm going to run a hot bath and climb into it with an entire bag of epsom salts. If it does thunderstorm I'm just going to lay on the floor and try not to die.

eta: more things that are insanely difficult - reaching up to blow my nose. OWWWWWWWWW.

10 minute trainer cardio today. Sweating like crazy (but that's just my fat crying ;) )

Weigh in tomorrow morning. Hopefully I stay below that 220 mark. If not, I'll still get there.

Feeling extremely frustrated and discouraged with this whole deal. I started in freaking January, why can't I stick with it at least long enough to get back under 200lbs? It's been six months and practically nothing has changed.

One day at a time. If necessary, take it one meal at a time. Make right decisions now. If you mess up, don't beat yourself up on it and make a better decision on the next meal. Too many people splurge and then feel guilty so they starve themselves the rest of the day. Then they get so hungry that they cannot help but eat a ton again (justifying it by saying that this is all I've had since xxx). It's the proverbial vicious cycle.

The method that works for me is keeping a log. I use an iPhone app (sparkpeople.com - many people use myfitnesspal). Find something that you can work with and do that. And try not to get lazy. Know what you're eating. Measure it all out if you have to until you get to a point where it's all automatic.

You can do it. As Yoda says, "do, or do not. There is no try."

Thank you, Eddie. Taking it one day at a time can be too overwhelming, nobody has ever suggested one meal at a time (at least, not that stuck), and I think I'll be able to manage more easily with that in mind. EDNOS was being an asshole yesterday and I started panicking.

Kettle bell swings make me feel like a BEAST! RAWR!

'twas a good workout today, even burpees weren't that bad. Wait did I just say that? I must be going mad.

Back on the wagon. Did 25 minutes of Hip Hop Abs Ab Sculpt, 15 minutes of "take it to the floor" dancing and 10 minutes of Last minute dance. I'm headed for So You Think You Can Dance (in my living room LOL)

Ok, official weigh-in puts me below 220. This makes me happy and "fills" my ticker (the goal weight was set at 220). I revised it to my real goal of 205. 15 pounds to go. I can do it and I will.

Anybody come to the conclusion that cereal is total BS?

On my cheat day I let myself have sugary kids cereal for breakfast with real milk..and I'm seriously hungry after 10 minutes.

...**** you lucky charms

**** YOU!

Hey, potty mouth, I like cereal :D

I start each morning with 1 cup of Cheerios and 1/2 cup of 1% milk along with OJ and coffee. I did have Lucky Charms at the Special Olympics this weekend, though. I felt like such a little kid and one of the Special Athletes who was sitting next to me got excited and said, "I'm having Lucky Charms, too!" and high-fived me.

But I agree, like Chinese food, you're hungry not too long later.

I find that any kind of carb for breakfast leaves me hungry in like an hour. Cereal, oatmeal, toast, etc. They all do.

When I have eggs for breakfast I feel full until lunch.

Also, I made it to the halfway mark of C25K today. It feels awesome :D

In less awesome news, I've been experimenting with adding gluten back into my diet in order to spend less money on food. It hasn't been going so well. I really honestly believe that I have a gluten intolerance, and that blows. Because cheap and delicious carbs.

1) Not saying gluten intolerance isn't what's going on, because studies are showing a LOT of people can't digest modern wheat well whether they realize it or not. But when you've quit eating something it's hard to add it back in. Ask a vegetarian what happens if they eat meat. =P

2) If you want cheap and delicious carbs, eat a sweet potato!

It's not so much of just not feeling well, as it is a resurgence of the issues I was having prior to cutting out most gluten (I find I can have a little here or there, but run into issues if I eat it daily). The main issue being nausea. I used to get nauseous a lot, to the point where every month I had myself convinced I was pregnant, cause that's the only sign, right? :p Cut out gluten, felt great. This month I was praying for my period again. So that's more what makes me think that it's a gluten intolerance.

And I LOVE sweet potatoes. I routinely pre-cook them at home, then nuke them at work for lunch. nom nom.

ETA: I've also noticed that when I eat gluten daily I balloon up, and I don't think it's actually weight gain, as much as it is bloating. Like you would generally see right before getting your period. Awful!

Going back to the gym after a two week break (was in PA for a week, then couldn't get a ride last week). Really nervous. Going by myself, too, Rick has to work.
