Okay......
These are those new breed American Bully dogs. They are not APBT's and I will never accept them as APBT's. They are ruining the standards, the name, and the publics perception.
They are not up to ADBA standards, are bred for size and color (that rare blue color
) and from what I understand, have had other breeds crossed in to increase body size and mass. Such as Mastiff's and Am Bull's.
BYB's of dogs riding on the name American Pit Bull Terrier. Call them Bully's, call them American Bully's, but don't call them APBT's.
These are the type of kennels that your average "let's put a chain around my dogs neck as a collar and prove how tough I am" types buy from. This is also where people get the idea that APBT's are large dogs. The largest APBT I've ever seen personally......54 lbs. He was huge in my eyes. Most weigh in between 30 - 45 lbs, not up to 100 or more lbs. Disgusting.
Obviously, they are not to my taste and I am offended that they even think they can call them APBT's. If they changed the name of the breed it wouldn't bother me as much, as they are using my breeds name to sell their mutts.
Ack....gross :yikes:
