My mom is the nurse as seeing someone with an artful tatt has actually turned her on to them. I think some people just are too close minded, nurse or not.

or... maybe they just aren't very good at their job rather than just disrespectful to those with piercings.

I don't have anything other than ear piercings these days and have encountered nurses who don't know how to properlyl give a shot. not "disrespectful" just... imcompetant :)

Yeah I just gotta muster up some guts to do it...and I do go to my GYN alone...doesn't phase me at all...guess I should look at it that way, except usually I'm not the one that's all gung-ho to go to the GYN, I wouldn't go in to be looked at if i didn't HAVE to ya know? lol.
Do most people go to their gyno with someone? o_O

That's awesome Izzy. I've had Dr's during paps ask some awkward Qs. Had a lady in uni who seemed genuinely interested wanting self knowledge..

I've got a pair of lip rings.. Don'r have many pics without ribbons or dogs in them.. You can see one in this pic..

Fresh microdermals. Since lost the left one, twice.

no they don't go with someone but there is always a nurse in the room with the doctor so you are NEVER alone with the doctor during the actual exam. I think that is what she meant
Everytime I've been it's only been a nurse in the room if it was a male doc...the female PA's and Doc's asked if you care one way or another and my reply is "This isn't a peep show, just you is fine"

ReallY? I've never had a nurse in the room too. Just the doctor.

and grab, if your having issues with allergies and want your peircings back, they make ear/nose/nipple, "private" ect out of the bioflex too. medical grade plastic, tis a wonderfull thing lol.
Oo, I'll have to look for some for my ears. The one I had on my wrist was plastic and worked fine, just didn't realize they had it for other areas:)

That is indeed what I meant...
Around here we've been told it's mandetory for a nurse to be present unless the patient brings someone with them...
I usually ask my mum to come as I feel more comfortable with her there than having the nurse in...lol!
Different states must have different rules I guess

These next pics are NOT me. They are suicide girls. I love their tattoos. I am not a huge star fan. I shy away from fads, but I like this chicks tattoo.

Here is another tattoo that really stood out to me. I have a design that I've saved for a good 4 years and this girls chest tattoos looks so similar to my design.

And this is the design that I have...

The gyno threadjack has got to be one of the most interesting ones we've done here.

When we went on our first OB appointment when Mrs. Q was pregnant with Jenna (our youngest), she asked the standard questions (LMP, etc.) and proudly announced a due date and conception date. When she announced the conception date I chuckled and said, "well, it's not mine then. I was in Illinois." The poor doc got red faced and flustered and started stammering about how conception date can be off by up to 2 weeks, etc. My wife finally let her off the hook, though :rofl1:

Speaking of tattoos... I want to get my eye brows done. 400 bucks!

You might think getting your brows done is weird, but I have very dark hair and very light eye brows. Using a brow pencil gets old fast...
Just coming back to here for a second, why don't you get them dyed? I have red hair but its darkened with age and I have big patches of black in it constantly so its pretty dark but I still got the red eyelashes and very light red-blonde eyebrows.
I pay about $25-$35 every 6-8 weeks to get my eyelashes tinted black (I wear all black makeup and have long lashes so doing them with mascara everyday kinda looks like overkill and gets messy) and my brows waxed and dyed. I can't stand them being light.

Yeah I have a female doctor. I always go to the gyno alone and have never thought about the fact that it's just me and the doctor alone.

I have a female gyno now and it's just me and her in the room. When I went to the ER while pregnant a couple times and had male gynos, they had a female nurse present

Am I wierd or something? I would NEVER go to a female gyno. I would feel very uncomfortable about a woman being in the room.
