Since I have no money, I couldn't justify buying Zuma a Rush to Tug lead yet. So until we can splurge on a good quality tug lead, I made Zuma one myself from extra fleece we had laying around. It most likely won't last as long as one from Rush to Tug, but I'm pretty dang proud of myself seeing as though I just learned how to do a 4 strand braid last night off of youtube!

I would totally beg you to make me one if Frodo had any tug drive outside the house.

That face could sell anything. And her ears added to it just make me laugh soooo hard.

The leash is great! I love the colors in it. I need to make myself one....well, one for Traveler. I don't really want to tug on it.

Also, Traveler would like to make babies with Zuma :rofl1:

Okay it totally looks like a R2T lead... WOW, you have talent!
Thanks! But I'm pretty sure you would retract that statement if you saw me struggling with the braiding last night. I rewatched that stupid youtube video at least 20 times. I threw away more fleece and cursed more times than I'm comfortable admitting. Rush to Tug gets my utmost respect! LOL

Is it just a lead or did you make the collar too?

I really really like that pic, Zuma is a cute little dork! :D

It's a martingale lead, so the collar too.

Thanks! Zuma is a total dork, it's hard to get her personality to show through into photos sometimes!

Fantastic lead! It looks just like the one MandyPug got for Izzie, so I'd say you did a pretty bang up job! :D

awww, your dog is ADORABLE, first off.

Secondly, you did FANTASTIC on that lead!!!

These tug leads, they are new to me.
I don't get it?
They're cute, but is the purpose for the dog to tug on the lead?

I'm learning leather braiding. I never bothered to learn it before because I was never really attracted to braided leather before.
But I'm quickly finding out the benefits.
Braids make things STRONGER. :D

Good for you!!! You did an AWESOME job! <3

Yes the purpose is so you have the lead and tug all in one. The martingale leads are also for convenience as lots of agility associations have the dogs run naked and the martingale lead is super easy to put on and take off plus you'll never accidentally forget to take it off. Tugging is very good for bonding and for getting dogs pumped up for a run, not to mention it's a great warm ups activity.

Yup, it's for agility. When she has a tug lead, I don't have to carry another tug toy around with me, we can just tug on her lead.
