It hasn't been banned and I doubt any Santas will ever say 'ha ha ha', in place of the traditional 'ho ho ho'. The media just likes to play it up. Some moron's just complained about it...as has been said before, "some people aren't happy unless they are bitching".
And Aussie kids only say "ho" and various other american slang words because we're flooded with crap US tv (not to mention music, movies, clothing brands and fast food companies) and very little Aussie tv (and the rest). It's disappointing, to be honest. But, yes...hilarious to hear american slang with an Aussie accent. LMAO!
