Congrats to Uno, this year's Westminster BIS winner! I love that little guy, so nice to see a hound take BIS at the Garden!

I was screaming "dont you pick those poodles go with the Beagle or Aussie or I'll curse at you!" Needless to say dad kept laughing at me LOL.

I read on another forum that Uno dosent do field trials. Still first BS for a hound since 83....

I don't think it's possible to get more beagles in shelters here. They're already soooo popular up here...

He is. Usually I do not like the look of confirmation beagles, especially the heads. But Uno is a handsome fellow, no doubt about it.

Yay Uno!!! He is one handsome little hound.

I love the look of a well bred beagle. Unfortunatley most of the beagles we see around here are from BYB's or "Huntin' " dogs. They are so far off from the breed standard that they almost look like they could be a different breed.

As for it being bad news and the popularity of beagles, I don't think it will make much of a difference. They are already one of the most popular breeds. Maybe, just maybe people will see what a well bred beagle really looks like and will think about going to a responsible breeder---probably not but one can dream , can't they?
