of course...why wouldn't you? I try to return anything I find to the rightful owner...or hand it over to the lost and found area if there is one.

We found someone's debit card at an ATM the other day and the hubby took it to a branch and dropped it off. It was in the machine and thier code had already been punched in! We could've taken out everything they had if we'd wanted to! Good karma...one can never have too much.

I'm with Buddy's mom and the others who say "But of course!" Why would there even be any question of not returning it? Heck, even if the cashier at the store gives me too much change I make sure she takes back the extra. She'd be docked from her pay and possibly lose her job if I didn't.

I've returned dogs, why would I not return a cell phone?

Obviously, I would return it. lol And the same would go for anything else I found. If I didn't know who it belonged to (like a coat or something) I would turn it into the lost and found at the place where I found it.

Not everyone is as nice as the people here. I lost my wallet once with my ID, debit card, and everything in it. Whoever found it could have easily returned it to me, but they didn't. I didn't even have that much cash in there, and of course I reported that my debit card was missing. So, they really didn't get much out of it, but I had to get all my IDs again, which was a real pain in the ass. They could have kept the cash, I just wanted my IDs back!
