Yes, I did on both:)

First, I dont have any patience:) I am also not someone who likes surprises. And I figured finding out early I just get that surprise out of the way and then the "only" surprise left is labor, delivery, and meeting the baby lol. If I had had a third I debated not finding out.

I dunno, part of me wants to think I would want it to be a surprise, but I think I would get to excited and want to get all ready and prepped for the baby room and stuff and in order to do alot of that you need to know the sex of the baby.

I don't wanna buy a ton of uni sex stuff. I would keep the baby's name a secret until its born.

I don't think I would find out...

Just because I wouldn't want to!!

I know people who have known the sex, name, etc etc months in advance, and it was such an anti-climax when they were born.. like yeah, it's little billy, and what? But when you don't know, it seems more exciting. To me.

Yes because I don't like yellow or green all that much.

But I also know people that have decorated the nursery only to come home with a surprise and have to change colors!

Part of me doesn't want to find out, but I'm too impatient to wait! That way I can know what to buy and how to decorate ahead of time as well!

hahaha Excellent question :) We are finding out for many of the reasons already stated. I am impatient, want to prepare, decide on names, etc. I can either be surprised at 20 weeks and find out, or be surprised when he/she is born - but I don't think I will exactly be in a head-space at that point for it to really sink in since I will be exhausted after giving birth and all!

If I ever have kids, I would probably choose to know the gender. My side is all girls, DH's is all boys. We couldn't even get in a good guess edgewise, and I like decorating. Not particularly fond of pink, yellow, green, or blue, though. And I don't like surprises. And names are a big deal, too. I'm the most indecisive person ever. No way could I take on a "surprise" decorating, clothing, naming sort of challenge.

We did not find out with Hannah. it was so exciting. There are so few wonderful surprises in life so I wanted to keep that one :)

Besides I figured with my luck we would find out and they would be wrong lol. that JUST happened to a friend of ours. They had two boys, third baby doc says "IT'S A GIRL" Surprise... another boy lol

if we decided to get pregnant again I would probably keep it a surprise again. it was very fun :)

They were just starting to have the capability of finding out the gender when I had my kids. But nevertheless, we wanted it to be a surprise with both of them.

If you try yo sex the baby too early it can turn from girl to boy. Did you know? moment. All babies start out as girls. Or so I've heard.

I have no patience so when we have a child I want to find out. DH doesn't. :p Regardless of gender I don't think we'll tell anyone that we know because I hate how segregated kids clothes and gear are by gender (and I haaaate pink!) and I like variety. Baby's room will be gender neutral colors anyway - i really like green!

I think I'll wait. I can't see myself decorating in a gender specific way. My baby's getting a normal-colored room, some pictures of some wildlife and stars, some cool dangley things and other things I find interesting. As far as names goes, I'd just pick some boy names and girls names that I like, choose an appropriate one when the kid is born. It's a cool surprise.

I did. I don't really care for surprises that much, lol. We did have a back up girl name, just in case, but we had the ultrasound tech check several times and she consistently thought boy.

I would find out. My sister didn't want a bunch of gender specific stuff for her baby so she waited until the Baby Shower to announce the gender, but it is REALLY HARD to find gender neutral stuff.

I painted Hannah's nursery a pale yellow with a light blue ceiling with sponge painted clouds and her bedding would have been the same no matter her gender... I wanted something with a cow on it and we went with Nursery Rhyme (the cow jumped over the moon) and that bedding was yellow and green.

almost all of her clothes I got at yard sales lol
