It's crazy... It totally pisses me off that they haven't removed the ad! I already hate the website because about anybody can pretend to have a dog for sale, get the money and never send a puppy, but you would think they would at least remove the ads where it's obvious it's a scam. Unbelievable.

Did you report this seller to Dogster also? If you look at this seller's dog profiles on puppyfind, they're copied and pasted directly from Dogster. I don't imagine that will impress them all too much.

I didn't think about reporting the seller to Dogster. Not a bad idea though. I will do it immidietly.
I think that the other pictures of the dog's who are in the same page with Snowy in puppyfind.com are stolen, too. I did see the first and the last picture in dogster, but don't know the link coz I was just searching random photos at that time.

I actually got this emailed to me today. Take a look!!

www.puppyfindsucks.com

I am sure that the reason for that is because there are many people who got cheated by the seller. If I looked at it from a different view, I would say that stealing your dog's photo by someone is BAD, but stealing your money and being cheated by the fake "seller" is worse....

I can breath now knowing that the person who stole Snowy's pictures is not someone I know or knows Snowy. However, I will still try to FORCE them to remove his pic

I did send an e-mail to www.ic3.gov reporting the stolen pictures. I even did send the links to both websites, but nothing has been done until now, not even a reply to my e-mails.
a pup pal at dogster sent me this,

This was a statement made by dogster:

"What We Think About Puppyfind.com
Puppyfind.com is an online service which takes a financial cut for connecting puppy sellers with people that want to buy dogs. Their homepage says “1,000s of Puppies for Sale… Shipped nationwide!” If that doesn’t make you wonder about their service, then you will when you learn that they don’t even prequalify the people or dogs who post to their site. They only review a poster or dog if there have been complaints. Technically this isn’t against that law, but if you ask us, we think it’s awfully disrespectful to the dogs to treat them as cargo and the buyers to not prequalify the sellers before letting them use their service. It is well documented there is a GIANT problem of unethical breeding of dogs and this service, by not prequalifying the people they work with, is, we think, a big mistake."

We spoke with Puppyfind.com in the past and they justified their practice by claiming “well, so may people post dogs a day we couldn’t possibly pre-review them.” I don’t think I need to say what we think is wrong with that. Especially now that they’ve been in business for a couple years they should be improving their quality control, not standing by old excuses.

Recently there has been a rash of Dogster dogs posted to puppyfind by a scammer pretending they are for sale. Thanks for everyone to writing in to them. We have let them know how we feel about this too. My gut feeling is that this was all the work of one desperate, nefarious person who thinks that some how people will fall for their pathetic scam. When anything happens out of the blue to this degree it’s almost always just one person or people working together. Puppyfind will eventually ban this user (or users) and they will slink away. So I do not expect some continuing photo theft as this one person will realize how stupid they were and it will stop.

As far as I know, when this happens, Puppyfind, chooses not to press criminal charges, which I also think I don’t need to state how we feel, even though they have clear proof of attempted scams.

I do know Dogster is for the love of dog. I can only imagine what Puppyfind is for the love of.

In the future if you see or hear of misappropriated photos being used to sell dogs on PuppyFind please contact them immediately with as much proof and evidence as you have. In the end they are motivated to remove false entries and the more people they hear from the more likely they are to do it sooner than later. It is our wish they will reconsider their policies of letting people post puppies until they hear of a problem and take a more proactive stance in ensuring the validity of the poster and ethical quality of the breeders they work with. Those of you who have some time could send your findings to the attorney general of the state where the online company is incorporated. While contacting the offending company directly is OK, they know that many people do not have the resources to follow up. The attorney general can come down on them like a ton of bricks.

It has made me sooo angry to see that this is happening. Maybe I was a little naive before, but I am quickly seeing how nasty people can be. The nerve of people! I also believe that Puppy.com needs to take a roll in stopping this practice. Here is the email I sent them:

[It is horrible that there are a large number of pictures listed on your site that are stolen. Many people are getting scammed. The pictures are being stolen from sites like dogstar.com etc. of other peoples pets. Unsuspecting buyers are sending money for dogs that are not even for sale, and of course are not getting sent the dogs. People trust that your site is legit and let their guard down.I think you should find a way to screen your sellers better. At the least you need to post a warning that this is taking place on your site. Not a little posting that can be barely read either. Right there, in bold print and right on the first page! Please take some responsibilty for what is going on at your site, and do something to make it harder for these horrible people who are taking people's hard earned money and disappointing them (and in many cases Children)when that much anticipated puppy never arrives./I]

I just pray that they will listen and at least try to do something to stop this Horrible practice.

This sounds like one of these scammers i've been trying to warn people about. They steal pics of other peoples dogs and try sell them. The pups never arrive and the people lose their money. Have a look at my post titled "Do Not Buy Puppies From Cameroon"
I'm sure Snowy is safe but I bet he feels like a bit of a STAR with all the attention lol. :)

I think that he is safe too, and I do agree with you, he is getting all the attention from the whole family :) He doesn't know what is going on, but he does love the attention part.
