I did send a notice to Puppyfind with the link and the information that this dog was owned by someone other than the seller and the dog was NOT for sale . . . We'll see if they e-mail me back with something ;)

I hope that there is no chance they could steal him. Maybe you should ake extra percautoins. Ask the police what you could do
I hope that the person who did that is not someone who knows Snowy. I will be really sad if someone tried to steal him:( I will for sure take extra care -I have a big family, so Snowy will never be left alone-

He would probley either have them pay and never send them a dog. Or he would go out and try and find the closest looking dog to Snowy and sell that dog.
This just gives you a feeling to stop trusting people in the internet:(

The scary thing is any pictures posted anywhere on the web can be copied by someone. First people should not buy pets from the internet. If someone want a pet they should at least see it in person. Also like you were smart enough to know never except checks . I own and online business. I had what sounded like a older woman call me alll frustrated she wanted to buy a harness for her dog and needed it by saturday and it was tuesday and she couldn't figure out to purchase online. I tried talking her through it she put her (supposibly elder husband on the phone) I told then they could send me a check and once it cleared I would send them the items ect.. She begged me she wanted it for the weekedn. Well stupid me send out the stuff hence never got the check never heard from her. SO if ever anyone does business here or else where no matter how nice people seem you just have to air on the side of caution always. To many scammers out their young and old.
Also if I was you I would just contact an attorney and find out what my legal rights are regarding these websites. Your pet should not be up their and the site needs to do something to protect people and their pets regardless what country is posting. I wish you luck and protect your babies. I would be nuts if I found this out.

I just recieved a message from Snowy's pup pal -the one who told me about Snowy at puppyfind.com-. Her maltese was was there too. Even worse, pictures of her kids:mad: She says that it took a week to make them remove her kid's and dog's pictures. I guess that they either didn't believe her or didn't care. I start to think that they wouldn't believe that the dog is mine.
Here is a link to more photos of Snowy with that outfit (UK flag) which I posted in this website
http://www.chazhound.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16884

When I click on the link that I posted in the first page of this thread, I can still see Snowy's photos which means that he is still on the list. I still didn't even recieve a reply from the web site:( or the "thief"....

We'll you guys gave me a dose of reality. I have taken all my kids pictures off the net. Including that great new thread for kids/pets.:(

I wanted to post and leave them on, but it gave me a bad feeling. So I ended up taking them off.

I am sorry you have to go thru this crap!!!

And if you need anyone else to email that site, just let me know.:D

You know, it's a wake-up call. Call me paranoid (go ahead, really! :) ) but I have NEVER posted pictures of my kids on the internet. Having a picture of your dog stolen is bad enough, but imagine a picture of your kids showing up on a questionable site? There are some very creepy sites out there, full of creepy people and not as friendly as Chaz. Internet forums allow us to share our lives, but you can't really control who you're sharing with.

And yes, I do have a dogster page. But at least I know if his picture is swiped it won't end up on a "Puppies in Diapers" fetish site. It's a balance between what information I'm willing to share and what I'm willing to risk. We all make that choice each and every time we post something.

As far as this puppy seller is concerned, he/she has stolen others and listed them at the same age to give the impression that there's a litter. Who really knows what her scam is? Unless you're willing to hire a lawyer to go after her, the best case scenerio is that the site owner takes the pictures down and bans the seller from the site.

Scam...

You can bet it is a scam, anytime you payment accepted by Western Union beware! Once you send payment there is no recourse when the item doesn’t arrive.

That is SCARY!! I mean the way that that thief lies freaks me out.
If that person replyed to your e-mail, then that means that he/she did read my e-mail but ignored it.
I tried the best I could, but I don't know why didn't they still remove the add:(

I replied and asked if he could prove that it wasn't a scam. He said he would give me other customers' email addresses. I replied and said email addresses can easily be forged. He said he was legit. Then I couldn't take it anymore....

I said that I just ran across the same picture on dogster and it seems like this dog belongs to someone. No response. Surprise surprise. I'm shocked the administrators of the site haven't taken it down yet.

I'm shocked as you are because I did send the administrators an e-mail too with the link to both puppyfind and dogster, but there was no reaction. I feel so bad about the whole thing

No response. Surprise surprise
I love this part, maybe he will finally realize that he got caught by lots of people, and that they all know that Love is fake :)

Thanks PoodleMommy.
We are keeping extra special eye on Snowy -he is a male by the way:)-
Right now, he is being cuddled by me. I should say that he is enjoying his happy doggie life with us and our other dogs :D at least he doesn't have to worry about his photos being stolen. He spent the whole day with me; he learnt a new trick -play dead- and spent the rest of the day playing.

I also haven't heard aything from puppyfind.com I emailed them to tell them it is a fraudulent posting. Nothing
