Today I was at the pet store, and I brought Jack and Dawson (Siberian Husky & Rottweiler). Jack is 9, and a little shy and is practically Dawson's brother and tags around him all the time.
Anyway, a lady there was holding a toddler and their jack russel puppy. Anyway, she had only seen Jack's head because we were on the side of one of the shelves and she was in the aisle. Jack came out, and his mother practically had a heart attack.
" Oh my GOD, that dog is HUGE! He's so untame! What are you THINKING bringing a HUSKY into this STORE? What if he BOWLED OVER A LITTLE CHILD?" Jack was whining and howling, because he gets scared when people yell - he got a lot of that when he was in the dog mill.
" Please don't scream, ma'am." I said. " He's very sweet and very sensitive, and..." I just gave up because the lady sounded like Jack was a 20 foot tall bear with rabies.
Anyway, Dawson was sniffing something on the side of the aisle, and the lady started to advance on me, still freaking out and screaming at me. Dawson came out and stood infront of me and let out a loud bark, a back-off bark. I have NEVER seen him so protective before - he didn't like this lady waving her arms at me. The jack russel started to whine and tug away.
Anyway, because all rottweilers kill little kids and rip people's faces off every night, this lady runs to get the manager, her toddler holding her hand.
So, I just continued to look at the dog crates because I let my brother have Sindra's for his new Dutch Shepherd puppy. After 20-40 minutes, The manager came up to me and apologized, because everything had been seen on the serveilance camera. The lady was asked to leave.
I called my sister and she spazzed at me. She was like ' What are you doing Dawson to the store? He's a ROTTWEILER. It's YOUR fault he acted out.'
How is it my fault? They were leashed, and until it looked like the drama queen was going to attack me, Dawson ignored her. GRRRRRRRRRRR.
