I'm sitting outside and having a coffee and just relaxing this morning, and a neighbour comes up so I ask "can I help you?" hes like "hey...hows it goin....I don't like how you let your dog **** on your lawn...I dont care if its 1..2..or 10 piles...if I see dog **** there im going to have undesirable things starting to happen"

And he ranted on starting to get more and more rude, finally after several minutes of listening to him badger and threaten me I told him " Really asshole?....dont have your mouth write checks your body cant cash, its my lawn, my dog can **** on it untill the cows come home" as far as im concerned he can go to hell it isn't like I'm letting my dog loose on his lawn, or having her crap on it

My gf then came out with another coffee during all this and sat down, then after he started to leave she said "meh...dont listen to him, its our lawn we can do with it what we want" And he butts into OUR conversation turns around and says "he better or ull have problems too" now thats when I got really aggitated...its one thing to pi$$ a guy off and threaten him...now when he threatens a guys gf, thats crossin the line, BIG TIME. Nothing would make me happier than to just kick the living snot out of him till he cant walk, but unless I want the cops involved thats not an option (besides I dont wanna pay bail lol). Anyone got any ideas?

So your garden is covered in dog crap but if your neighbour doesn't like it that's his problem because it's your right to have a garden covered in dog crap?

Never mind the right to live in a clean neighbour hood, but think of the diseases you're encouraging into your backgarden.. you just let your dog walk amongst the piles till he finds a clean spot?

I have a little over an acre and a half of land, so the lawn isnt small... and Sadie usually goes in the back corner...its fenced between our yards also. And besides it gets poop scooped every couple days, so its not like its overun or something, so I dont see his problem?

Did he say it was covered in crap? This guy who is threatening him and his girlfriend said even ONE, ONE SINGLE PILE, would move him to threatening or unpleasant actions. I'm sorry but if he's paying money to live on his own personal property and the other person's personal space and effects are not being damaged, he has no right to threaten the OP.

ETA: And it's fenced so the guy can't see it anyways, which means he had to have gone looking for signs of fecal matter. Sounds more like a creep stalker than a concerned neighbor.

Also, what does your German tag line say?

that guy was RUDE, no doubt about it, thats a horrible way to bring anything up. he could've politely just told you or written you a letter about it

but on the other hand, I think someone not keeping up with their home and keeping it clean is a problem for the WHOLE neighborhood...it kills the astetics. my neighborhood is very strict about that, because having ONE neighbor with dog poop all over their lawn makes the whole neighborhood look bad, which in turn makes the other houses harder to sell.

I have no idea what your lawn looks like, but I think in this situation, the easiest thing to do would be to just pick up after your dog poops. its better for your lawn, better for the neighbors and it gives ur dog more space to run without being around his own poop

But, no doubt, that guy is a donkey butt. thats incredibly rude and he will soon figure out that being mean is NO WAY to get anyone to do anything.

If the dog is crapping on his lawn, I can see the problem. Otherwise, it's none of his business, especially since you say you clean it every couple of days (taking you at your word on that). Same situation with cats. If the neighbor's cat is roaming and crapping in their neighbor's flower beds and such, then there is a problem. If it's on their own property, no problem.

Dunno then, some people just don't like to see piles of crap, be it one or lots.

since he actually made threats, i would file a formal complaint with the police...
that way if he actually does try anything theres alreayd record on file that he made threats and things will get sorted much quicker.

sounds like a horrible person.

What Foxywench said and then go tell that idiot you filed a report so if ANYTHING happens on your property, the cops are gonna come looking for him first.

my thought exactly. He could be some kind of nut job. A threat is a threat and from the way you described it, it sounds like he meant his threat. It's your lawn, not his. Unless it affects him or his property.. he has no say in the matter.

What a creep.

If he tries that again, you should start calling the police mid-sentence, and tell him to stay right there :p

I'd be sure to keep a close eye on your dog too. After that I'd be scared to let my dogs out without checking the yard for poisoned meat first.
This.

And filing a report is a good idea too.

But you know me, I'd be going out to a farm and bringing back a few baskets of cow piles.

And taking off for about a week . . . after I'd spread chicken manure fertilizer on my lawn . . .

What a butt head....... I really have no problem with him saying something about it.....but he had no right to make any sort of threat against you or your GF :yikes:

I always hope my neighbors would come to me if something is really bothering them...and I would take their concerns into consideration...and if I deemed it necessary then I might change things ........but that guy sounds like a nut!

That guys deserves a flaming bag of dog crap on his porch. What a choad.

ETA: I just googled "choad" because it's a word I use quite a bit in RL especially to describe this one asshole at work, and I didn't really know what it meant, but I LOVE the definition lmao.
Urban Dictionary: choad
