Just wonder where everybody works
Or goes to school
:D

I work at a Day Care with toddlers ages 18mo - 2 and a half years as a teachers aid right now, part time. The other time I am the administrative aid in the office, I am slowly making my way up the totam pole. ;) I am also going to classes for early childhood education at the comunity colledge. I'm quite the busy bee

Sounds like your a busy girl!!!

I work in a hospital laboratory. Right now I am working in internal medicine physicians office. There are about 20 Dr's. I draw blood, and also run some of the more simple tests at the little lab where I work. The others tests I take over to the main hospital lab. :D

I'm a legal investigator/researcher/paralegal. I work for myself, contracting my services to attorneys. I spend lots of time digging around in courthouses and on the computer - and on the road! No more offices if I can avoid it - I just DESPISE office politics, and they get really nasty in law offices.

And I help Charley at his furniture store.

I work in a law firm as a Legal Assistant/Secretary/Paralegal. I have many things I do there.

Oh and I am Brady's personal maid too, I guess. I wipe a lot of muddy paw prints off my kitchen floor. ;)

LOL @ Bogolove...Brady's maid! I hear ya on that one..heeheehee.

Well..I'm happily not working right now. First time in YEARS! My field is audiology. I was the manager of a hearing aid company. I'm also trained as a dental assistant. ears, teeth...........boring! I do sell dolls via the internet, but hardly a 'business'. I just want to hang around my husband and my pets for a while. :D I guess I've gone to the dogs! LOL

Very neat, Debi! Do you make the dolls? What kind are they? Once upon a time when I sort of had a life, I used to make porcelain dolls. My Mom did, too. Since she's retired to part time nursing I'm trying to get her cranked up again. We've got shelves and shelves of doll molds, three kilns, any kind of sewing machine you could want (including a quilting machine) and you'd laugh if you saw all the fabric we've collected!

Renee, that sounds so cool. :D I make rag dolls...sometimes prim dolls. They are my own designs, and actually...I think I am really just a repressed clothes designer. LOL I REALLY get into dressing them. Dolls are really popular.......who knew??!! LOL

What are prim dolls? That's a new one to me.

I'm with you on the repressed clothes designer thing! I love painting the dolls, but dressing them, choosing the right fabric, the right look, is the next step to bringing them to "life." Mom loves to do the child dolls and baby dolls, but my favorites are the more adolescent and adult dolls. We've also got several molds for animal dolls. There's one that I'm going to turn into Puss 'n' Boots one day. And the Cheshire Cat! I've got a doll mold that is just begging to be Alice - my version!

Where on the web do you display your dolls? I'd love to see them! Do you subscribe to Doll Reader or Contemporary Doll magazines? I can just sit and look at the pictures in total awe. Tons of inspiration!

Hello everyone! :p I am not working at the moment, because I moved to Israel just a year ago and it's kind of hard to settle down here without knowing the language fluently. I do freelance translations, go to language school to study hebrew and spend as much time as I can with my 5 month old puppy :) Thats me! :D

Where are you originally from, Lunarturn? Moving to the Middle East takes some courage these days. I hope you and your pup have a peaceful, quiet, safe and uneventful life in Israel.

Renee, prim dolls are rag dolls made to look very old...primitive. Sometimes I think they just look downright scarey! I have a tendency to want cute...so I've been sticking to the Annies lately. I had a shoppe on PrimMart, but closed out of that. Until my site is complete, I have a few dolls listed on a friends site, www.craftaddicttradesmen.com , I have a couple listed under 'raggedies' and one under 'black dolls' (the subcatagories after clicking on 'dolls') I belong to a couple private sites where I seem to sell most of them. I also do special orders....which I just finished my last Christmas doll this week. I'd rather just make something....throw it out there, and if it sells...fine. I HATE to HAVE to sew something LOL....the child in me! The special order dolls are the ones I put most of the detail work in, tho. I'm filled with envy at your machines AND ALL THE FABRIC....WOW!! I have to be dragged away from a good fabric sale. LOL I just found new yarn today for hair...such excitement! :D The dolls are something I just started playing around with last year....I improve with every new one....but like I said, I really only like making their clothes. I bet the porcelain dolls are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

Too cool! Everybody has such cool things to do, what a variety of people we have here.
I used to crochet doll clothes. I love to crochet, its very relaxing for me. I just recently crocheted like 9 dog sweaters, all different sizes, and donated them to the local animal shelter. They sell them for 10$ and up, its pretty cool because they need the money for food and vet and stuff since they're non-profit and such. I usually don't approve of dogs wearing clothes but I have been more lenient lately. Maddie & Carly has a few I made because it keeps her dry, especailly when there's yucky snow on the ground; Carly gets dirty fast because she's mostly white, and everyone thinks they are 'in style.' Its also cheaper for me, I don't know if you guys have ever heard of snoods, but I made different ones for Maddie's ears, not only is it cheaper, but more durable and it means more to me because I spent the time to make them. ;)

I'm a Real Estate Paralegal and have been working with an attorney for the past 12 years. We were paired up at a large law firm and he split from the firm about 7 or 8 years ago (I lose track of the years after a while, lol) and I followed with him. So, its just me and him. No office politics here which I can certainly relate to Renee. But it also gets kinda lonely. BUT, it works :D

Avenlee, that's the best possible way to work in a law office! I did that for about 8 years with a criminal defense attorney (in between his lunatic wife firing me - she thought anyone who worked for the man wanted to have an affair with him - WRONG!!! Not if he was the last man on earth - ever!)

Do you do any of the property records research? That's primarily what I do now, although I avoid straight title work like the plague and try to stick to untangling estates and boundary disputes and hunting lost and/or hidden properties (especially in divorces - )

i design boxes. i work for Love Box Company. i design displays and stuff. it's ok, kinda scary at times though. i used to work for Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. but got laid off the Nov. after the year anniversary of the Sept. 11th thing. the economy slowed down so much, and they ( the corp. i worked for ) thought the best way to make up profits was to cut jobs. so i was out. i was unemployed for a bout two months when i got picked up buy the same company, just a different location. eight months later, laid off again, this time with no severance or anything. it was a very tough four months. i got really depressed, but had to hide it from my wife, cause she would have lost it if she knew i was worried about it. i almost cryed a few times at home during the day with no job or job prosepcts.
