I know what you mean.....I used to absolutely hate my middle name until my mom died and now I don't mind it so much because it was her first name.

Well my dad was desperate to call me Louise, and then they found out that my dads mum's, mum (my great granny) was called Louise, so they had to name me after all the other great grandmothers that they could remember too!

My first name is after my grandma (my mom's mom). Her name was Ida Randena. I'm just happy that I didn't get Ida!!!

My best friend growing up absolutely hated her middle name.... her name is Barbara Edna! That's quite the middle name to carry off. I was thrilled I didn't get named after either of my grandmothers even though I loved them dearly.... their names were Gladys and Bertha! I could see it now... my nickname would have been "Big Bertha" I am so thankful they named me after my cousin who wanted to buy me with her jar of pennies.
