What would you do if.......

It's a very scary thought...
I guess I'd try to make the best out of things and stay in my camper (which the dogs and I love to death) while attempting to sell my house and get the funds to officially move because 30 days is like nothing, especailly if you think about doing it right and putting in 2wks notice.
Child Care is pretty much needed everywhere, so I'm not concerned about getting another job, it'd just be the pay cut that would seriously cripple the finances.
I have relatives in VA, TN, and FL, and I probably wouldn't hesitate to bum off of them if my dogs' lives were on the line. My cousin has already said I can park my camper on his lot and he''d run an extension cord to it!

I don't think they could take any dog if it had it's CGC or TDI .

Besides Seeing eye dogs or other "assistance" dogs their is no law that protects our right to own them. Basiclly no dog is truely safe.

Well it is nice to say that I would just pick up and move BUT that is not always a possibility. I mean right now all I have is my husband (who isn't even living with me right now) and my dog and my rodents. I live in an apartment so it would be easy for me now to move but if I had children I would have to do what is best for them. I am sure some people don't like that answer but too bad. I would never ever put my dog before my children. Don't get me wrong I love Teddy with all my heart and I would fight my a$$ off to protect him and keep him but I would not just quit my job and move just like that and risk not being able to put food on the table for my kids and give them proper shelter. So right now yes I would leave but when I have a family I would have to look into a new home outside of the province for Teddy while I fight fight fight. Either that or do what Julie suggested as we will hopefully be living on a farm way out in the boondocks lol.

This is my problem I dont have to get rid of them but today...My neighbor said my dog jumped through I say about a 9 foot drop window after him. My dogs have never ever harmed anyone. I even once had a lady come onto my property with her small dog, My female did get out, was in back went up to the dog the little dog attacked my dog (amstaff by the way) and my dog did nothing, ust nipped the little ones legs.My boy got out after her and just stood there two pitbulls as a little dog is attacking mine. The dog and lady left unharmed.still tried to file a complaint didnt fly had a witness my neigbor who is now claiming mine jumped through the window after him then ran inside, where my daughter let her in real fast....Then said she came out front door. I am afraid it is going to come down to my daughters word against his. He caLLED THE COPS, humane they believe me I was so scared I know she didnt do this. he saw my dogs saw how sweet they were and saw how there was no way she could of got out exspet maybe that window. He has been up to my fence with my dogs there and also said my other neighbor who has called many times and admitted to my younger daughter yes I keep calling I hate pitbulls.............I own my house went from streets to this house cant jut up and sell only been here two yrs.........I have kids so I cant just up and move...............It is not fair I know my dogs, I do know there unpredictable and she is a mom with 6 week old puppys but has never ever attacked and have had many around her pups........Most of the rest of the town knows my dogs, love my dogs have even changed some minds of Pitbull haters..........I walk my dogs my two cats go with us.......I socialized them as pups they love kids my nieghbors have never ever even gotten to know my dogs.........I am scared there going to win someday and my daughters and I our going to lose our babys for no reason because of there breed....because they wont get to know my dogs. I even see them outside with there kids whatever cause I know there fear I wont even let my dogs out back...........I have done everything to respect and please.......I dont know what to do...........I feel it is going to someday be my word against theres.........I do know and could see maybe the mother thing with pup mother protection, and she hears strange noises she barks in warning but onc eyou come in ever been here or not there all over you wagging tails happy to see ANYONE there uselsess watch dogs lol...but if this was a protection thing and did happen will that change when pups are gone and I get her fixed?
I just know there is no way she got out and did this today............sorry so long just upset and venting here I have posted this before but this is the dog were talking about here..........looks really visious dont she?

That picture is sooo cute.

This would be a sad situation, I feel bad for anyone who ever has to deal with it.

I dont think I ever have to worry about them banning toy poodles, but I would do anything for my dog, if that meant moving to another state well I never really liked NY anyway.

I would move for sure. I could not imagine anybody else with my dogs but me, they would not love them like I do. I could not imagine putting my dogs through being with people they don't know. They have feelings just like we do and I would not want to be thrown with people I did not know in a place I have never seen. It would just tear me up too bad to give my babies up.

Looking at things realistically, in regards to
- my work,
- my husband's work,
- being self employed and relying on an established client base to run our business and make a profit,
- having to pay off a mortgage on a house,

I'd have to say if I had to give up my dog due to breed issue (hardly to be expected in my case, since he is a mutt of unknown origin), I'd try to find a new home for him. The first place I'd turn to would be my parents, who own a large property in a rural village (population around 800 people) in Germany.

Meanwhile I think it's a good idea to prove the dog's ongoing training by working towards titles in various venues and also have a dog temperament tested by ATTS.

Ladydi perhaps you should go have a talk with your neighbour and ask them exactly why they are trying to tear your family apart. Ask them if they would like it if you called child services on them sying that their children are reckless and unruly even though you don't know them. Of course you should be polite but to the point. I would put them on the spot and ask them EXACTLY what your dogs have done to warrant such hatred from them. It's such a horrible thing to deal with

I have tried it h as been other things too my kids so on............Just a clique just thing is this neighbor and I have always got along. I just wonder how they would feel if someone took something from there grand kids or kids that was so precious to them.......this time it worked out but grrrrrrrrrr. I did ask Him what have I done to you all? Get to know my dogs....He said because there PITBULLS..............and I am not going to keep my grandkids inside in fear.........If one of my dogs ever showed any aggression towards anyone especially a kid.I would hand him the gun said the cops and humane society told him if they get out again go ahead and shoot them.............I cant see them saying that..........I am not saying it is not possible she did but she has never shown this kind of behaviour even with her pups.........to anyone and I cant see how she could of got out niether could the cop or the humane society.............Just makes me nervous angry........upset...........I try to be a responsible dog owner and respect there fears..............as I said see them outside I dont even let dogs out back........so on I try I really do. I just wish they would get to know them. They love kids I have my male cry at the window when he sees kids he wants to play or my girl I walk her to my daughters school gets all excited with all the kids walking by...............Ther good dogs ..................Just afraid one day someone is going to believe them and not me and I wont be able to defend them and there taken...........
