Breed: Fila
Name: Buddha if we get a boy, Bella if a girl (unless of course the name does not fit!)
Color: Hubby would prefer brindle, but really, whatever happy healthy pup we can get!
Age: when the breeder sees fit that he/she is ready

**We are also planning for a great dane, but he/she will be rescued from one of my favorite rescues in So. California. :D And after that, I see all dogs being rescues, unless we have a herd of Filas in our future!
I see a theme here, lol!

I've told Charley that (as he wants pups out of Kharma . . . and Shiva  ) I will feel compelled to name one of her male pups "Earl" after the character in "My Name is Earl" ;) I'm naming the meanest little female "Lucretia" after the old Blood Sweat & Tears song, "Lucretia MacEvil" . . . and I will probably be very sorry for doing so, lol!

Jess, you can always spell it "Ban-sidhe" - in the Celt manner ;) It's pronounced the same . . .

Lol, Renee, how's this for a household? An Aussie named Sawyer, a Rottie named Toga and a Fila named Lucretia...my house would be in shambles.

Breed: Border Collie
Name: Trick, Skipper (we've been thinking of a nautical theme for the next dog, since they spend so much time on the boats) Karma (?) The name list changes every few months.
Gender: Female
Colour(s): Not going to be picky. But, if I had my perfect one it would be a red/white bitch with blue eyes. Irish markings (white front, white feet/legs and white tip on the tail) and a narrow blaze on her face as opposed to a wide one. I'll most likely wind up with a brown-eyed black/white, which is fine by me as well :D
Age: Under 1 year, preferably under 3 months but if I can get a started young-adult, age won't hold me back.
From: Breeder

Or...

Breed: Fila
Name: No names picked out yet.
Gender: Female
Colour(s): Any. Not picky.
Age: Under 3 months
From: Breeder

Or a sweet shelter mutt. Whatever falls in my lap. :)

My next dog will be a rescue. Don't know if it will be male or female, big or small. Don't know the name until I know it. That's all I know for now! :D

I figured you'd end up with Sawyer, Huck and Becky :D
Huck yes, that will probably be the next male dog I have, though I've not found many dogs that can wear the name "Becky" well.

Toller _08

saw your post. We are looking for a Toller puppy breeder. where do you live in Canada? We live in Ontario and are having difficulties finding a breeder. Sounds like you like your breeder.
Thanks

I don't want to take this thread off topic, but I replied in your Toller thread in the breed section :)

I am sure there will always be a Shepherd in the house(there always has been!:) ).....but I am partial to any furry in need that catches my eye. any dog I get would most likely be from rescue or local shelter

I've been thinking about this for the last few years. I'm constantly changing my mind because I'm extremely interested in competing (no...determined to do so) in several different dog sports, but most of my absolute favourite dogs limit what I can do with them. Either they're too heavy to compete in agility, flyball or go far in obedience...or they're not the type of dog that's easily trained to such sports or are not reliable off leash. *sigh*
It confuses the heck outta me. I'll probably end up with a fabulous mutt from the shelter in the end. LOL :D

However here are a few breeds I'm seriously considering.

Eurasier, Shiba Inu, Clumber Spaniel, Old English Sheepdog (hate the amount of coat though..that's the only thing that turns me off getting another one...still, it's up there on my list. I can't help myself. LOL).

Neapolitan Mastiff is always top of my list though. I'd take one of them over any other breed, any day. :D

Gender, age, colour and name all depend on the individual dog. I wouldn't go anywhere else but a shelter/rescue or reputable breeder.

Cass.
