What breed will your next dog(s) be? or, what breed do you think you'll get next?

Mine will be:

Breed: Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
Name: River (most likely) or Aero...unless neither of those fit.
Gender: Female
Colour(s): (hopefully) Deep orange with white markings on the paws and lots of white on the chest....maybe a tiny bit on the muzzle also.
Age: Between 8-10 weeks probably, depending on when the breeder says she can come home.
From (ex. shelter, breeder, etc.): Breeder

My next dog that I plan on after I get my Toller, will either be another Toller or:

Breed: Belgian Shepherd (Groenendael OR Tervuren)
Name: No idea yet
Gender: Female
Colour(s): If she's a Groen, obviously black. If she's a Terv, I'd prefer grey but don't really care.
Age: Between 8-10 weeks probably, depending on when the breeder says she can come home.
From: Breeder

My next dog after that, will eithr be another Toller or:

Breed: Hungarian Mudi
Name: No idea yet
Gender: Female
Colour(s): Black or Blue merle (although it's actually called black merle according to the Mudi association, but most people around here stick with blue merle it seems).
Age: Between 8-10 weeks probably, depending on when the breeder says she can come home.
From: Breeder

In all honesty, after those, I'll probably just stick to Tollers from then on. They will most likely all be from breeders, and probably the same breeder each time because I really like the Toller breeder I've chosen. Also, most of my future dogs will be females...but I would like to have one male Toller some day - I do prefer females though.

So, what would you like for yours to be?

Breed: Fila
Name: Buddha if we get a boy, Bella if a girl (unless of course the name does not fit!)
Color: Hubby would prefer brindle, but really, whatever happy healthy pup we can get!
Age: when the breeder sees fit that he/she is ready

**We are also planning for a great dane, but he/she will be rescued from one of my favorite rescues in So. California. :D And after that, I see all dogs being rescues, unless we have a herd of Filas in our future! :p

the next dog i go LOOKING for?

another rescued doberman. color, age, sex, and all the rest are negotiable - the right dog will find me. blue, black, red, fawn, doesnt matter. most likely female since i already have a male.

other than that, its what dog i can help at the time.

We plan on getting another GSD, a female. Not sure of the color, I like sables, my wife likes black and tans like Gunnar. We won't do this until Midnite passes (she's 12 but in good health). It's bad enough she has to put up with Gunnar the lunkhead banging into her all the time, I think another pup would put her in the funny farm.

no idea. it's likely to be quite some time before i get another dog, as my dogs are both only approaching 4. and they better live to ripe old ages or i'm going to beat them :)

i really like standard poodles- white and silver are my favorites, blacks and blues are nice too. really not keen on the apricots.

i will someday have a red female dobe.

there are a lot of breeds i'm really interested in- border collies are way up there at the top of the list, too. and i don't know if i could lead a pit-bull-free life.

it'll probably all depend on what dog turns up at the right time with the right personality and steals my heart.

Breed: Australian Shepherd (Show lines)
Name: No idea, we're talking the distant, distant future ;)
Gender: Female
Colours: (hopefully) Blue Merle or Tri.
Age: Between 8-10 weeks probably, depending on when the breeder says she can come home.
From: Breeder
Reason: I'm an active person and LOVE agility, so I'd like to get a breed that can go far with it. Also I'd like a breed that is intelligent so we can achieve the CGC certificate. I'm aware of how active they are so this would be way down the road when I have a large fenced-in yard and, simply put, when I'm ready.

Breed: Any, probably a mix of some sort!
Name: Don't know
Gender: Either
Colours: Any
Age: Any, but probably an adult.
From: Pound/Humane Society

Yoko ... you won't be sorry !! Love your pup's look !! Very much Golden !! As to my next dog ..... With Ollie being 1 1/2 and me 73 1/2 ......hmmmmmmmmm !!! Had you asked 2 months ago , before I lost Chip , I would have said a rescue or HS dog, which I now have ( though I went into petfinder under Golden , and up popped Ollie ) . Probably my next dogs are waiting for me at " the bridge " .....wow !!! What a crew !!

Brent and I have dicussed adopting an older dog from the humane society here when we move into the new house, one that otherwise would be put down. (The older dogs don't last long in the shelter)

Than:

Beauceron
Male
No name

or

Malinois
Male
No name

Hopefully in a few years I'll be experienced enough to be able to handle either of those very high drive breeds. I like the look of both of them. And would like to work with something that's got more "umph" than my lazy Roxy girl! :D ROFL
