NAILS. Clipping/dremeling, whatever. It's tedious when I use the dremel, and it's unpleasant when I use the clippers.

Quite honestly, I would rather pick up poop.

I can not cut Buster's nails, he fights too much. Therefore, we wear it down on our long "herding dog in an apartment" walks. Problem solved (well, not for you dobie owners, but I get a good GSD type nail.)

Baths are bad. I don't have a sprayer, so its in the tub with the dog, armed with a cut off soda bottle...

Cleaning up puke. Ick. It doesn't happen often but when it does, both dogs seem to like to do it in the middle of the night. Lucy sleeps in my bed with me so it's definitely not appealing to wake up to that on my blankets lol. Molly I think tries to get out of my room when she has to, so when I'm stumbling around in the dark after waking up, I sometimes come close to stepping in it right in front of my door.

I really do hate picking up poop, too. In the winter, it's way too cold outside and all the poop is frozen to the ground anyway... but in the summer, poop is just gross lol.

I now realize that upon reading this thread and thinking "dude, it is SO cool that my dogs never vomit", I am going to wake up to piles of puke in the morning.

Does everyone clean their dogs poop up? I never thought about it..
Our dogs go poop in their outdoor kennel instead of the yard, but YES we scoop out the kennel. I would imagine that everyone here scoops their yard (or wherever their dog 'goes')

There are many reasons to scoop and get rid of your dog's waste. First of all there are diseases and parasites to consider by leaving old poop laying around. Secondly, you wouldn't want your dog to get used to nasty conditions, this might encourage them to use the bathroom INSIDE the house or their crate. Thirdly, some people have issues with their dog actually EATING poop..........if you scoop it and get rid of it you won't encourage THAT nasty little habit! LOL

PLUS...........who wants to step in those little land mines? :lol-sign:

I'm lucky, I have never cleaned up poo. Not because I think myself above it or anything, but my mum actually enjoys it. She goes out, has a wander around the yard with all the dogs, armed with her bag and her shovel, checking out the holes they have dug or the new plants that have popped up. She actually doesn't mindn it so I'm too happy to stick out of the way.

When I move out I'm actually going to have to remember to do it, imagaine that! lol atleast there will only be a quarter of the poo and Buster genrally always goes around the same area.

My pup's in training. I hate playing the "what does he have? game" Keeping one ear open while I'm trying to sleep. Going " ok that's his bone, that's his ball, oh oh, I have no idea what that is! " then you jump up and go check it out. (clue: if he dashes of in a tail wagging furry, he wasn't supposed to have that (fill in the blank), then the games on :)
