I'm not talking about the normal ones, like picking up poop, everyone hates that. (If you don't, you might need counciling.:p ) Rather, the obscure ones. I LOATHE applying Django's flea and tick treatment, I would rather clip his nails. So what's yours?

UGH. I absolutely cannot stand cleaning Ozzys food and water bowls. I make Steven do it most of the time. :D

Cleaning out her ears everyday. I know it has to be done cause her ears are such a mess if I didn't she would go deaf. But she has to shake her head and ear goop gets all over me lol.

Probley the other is giving her a bath. Its a two hour process with all the special preparation and all that. She is good in the tub its just time consuming.

Cleaning muddy paws. Ugh, I hate it. We get that awful red clay stuff that turns their paws into shapeless red lumps--their muddy feet always makes me think of Thing from the Fantastic Four. Catch the dog when he comes in. Wash the paws. Wipe the paws. Dry the paws. Loose the dog. Repeat the process with second dog. Mop the floor. Rinse out the muddy rags, wash muddy hands. Repeat several times as a day, as long as the rain lasts. Booo.

Same here! Our yard is awful when it rains, and I have 16 paws to clean several times a day!

I hate cleaning muddy paws too... especially since Bamm can sometimes make that task difficult if he decides he's extra playful. I also don't particularily like cleaning his crate blankets. I try and clean them weekly, but all that loose hair (he's shedding) gets everywhere and I find so much of it in the dryer afterwards... annoying.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Voodoo was a nightmare as a pup. Cleaning his paws was like steer wrestling. I usually ended up muddier than he was. Thank goodness he's gotten over that phase.

Right now - brushing!! With four hairy monsters who are all beginning to blow coat, I am now completely outfitted in fur pants, fur shirt, fur hat, fur socks...

Otherwise, it's a toss up between nail clipping and brushing teeth, especially on Ares, because he's so unfriendly about it.

Also, I hate crate cleaning - once a week or so I take the crates outside and cwash them. I hate dragging them up and down the stairs.

I'll have to have someone videotape was Bamm does some time to show you. He'll lay down and as soon as you reach for his right paw he moves his right paw out to the side... so you reach for his left paw... he moves his left paw out to the side... he seems to think it's a game. Sometimes it helps if you clean his paws with him standing... so long as he doesn't decide that Goober sitting there over in the other corner is in need of a playmate...

Cleaning paws and giving flea and hw meds. Those tasks are horrible with 4 dogs 3 of which are big. First we start with Patches since she has the most fur. And will she sit still to be hosed off NOOOOOOOOOO. SO that takes 20 minutes, then walker and scirracco jsut take the time to get the mud off, Whisper again another 20 minutes because of all the fur.

And meds HA. First they get the advantage and getting 4 dogs to comply is fun especially after the first one when they know why you are calling them over.

Then its time for the Ivomec, you get all 4 syringes ready then call the first and he doesnt like it but whatever, then of course getting the subsequent ones to comply is fun and Scirracco with his rotting teeth :yikes: that is purely nasty.

ROFL! Perhaps he's confusing it with the Hokey Pokey? You put your right paw in, left paw out?

With Voodoo, it wasn't that he hated it. He was just impossible to keep still, and he thought everything I did was a game. Getting down on his level meant it was time to play, bounce, and generally act the idiot. It usually ended up with me holding a large, wildly bucking puppy in a headlock, trying to free one hand just long enough to snag a paw and get the mud off. He had a grand time, but I was usually less than thrilled.

Cleaning dirty bums. Runny poop + fluffy hair = unhappy me. I hate it so much. When I worked at a dog daycare, it was almost a daily thing. Thankfully I've only had to do it once with Pit. Just recently, too. It just reminded me how I'd rather do just about anything else.

I might need counseling then ! I've discovered that picking up poops with chopticks is very easy, quick & clean. Chopticks are sold in any Asian markets for $1/50 pairs, so $2 will give me a 3 month worth of chopticks, providing that I use 1 pair a day, every day!. I pick up my dogs' poops every afternoon. Luckily for me, they've chosen only one area of the yard as their bathroom, so I just go there with a plastic bag & a pair of choptick & I'll be done in 2 minutes.

I don't like trimming their nails because it's not an easy task :(

I hear you!!! We finally came up with some little fencing that will hopefully keep them out of the muddiest part of the yard, which also happens to be the flower garden.
