What Dogs Do You Plan/Want to Get in the Future?

Just wondering.

What kind of dog would you want to get/are planning to get in the future?

I'd really like a Neapolitan Mastiff, Rottweiler, and a St. Bernard to keep Rocky company in the future. But I'd want one where I wouldn't have to go through potty training and the puppy years. Of course, not all those at once. But those are a couple that I'm considering in the future.

Whew! Those puppy years though, they are tough...

So what about you?

I agree!!! I want mine to be rescue's, mostly, but I would like to have one that is a puppy. I never got to do the puppy thing and I would really like to have that experience just once.

I would get a rescue but adopting an adult male caucasian is simply too much risk.

It'll always be rescue for me....though it's possible I'd buy a Standard Poodle from a reputable breeder.... There are so many breeds I'd love to own in the future, such as a Neopaolitan Mastiff, Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane (can you tell I like XXL dogs?), Golden Retriever, Standard Poodle, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Tibetan Mastiff, Tibetan Terrier, Doberman Pinshcer, Rottweiler......ah, there are too many! Right now I'm happy with the three Physco Mutts.

WHen Mary leaves me i will have that decision to make..i would want Victor to have someone..but at the same time my mother is older and one day Mr Shaffer could be mine or not..who knows but if i did start looking for another dog i would go to petfinder.com and see what dog is waiting there for me like Victor was. I saw him and i knew this is the one.

Some day when im old and no longer musher and most of my dogs have passed over the rainbow bridge and it will just be me a few of my old dogs here daydreaming about the days of the past. I would really like either possibly anouther Pittie, or I really really want a good ol Irish Kerry Beagle.

I don't ever want to be without a German Shepherd, no matter what else I have. I'm pretty hooked on the Filas too. Oddly, I think I'd be game for Fila rescue in spite of the ojeriza. They're dogs that are intelligent enough to know when someone is helping them.

All the filas i've met have been very stable and although very loyal to their people, still transferable. I think the Ojeriza has been mutated a bit in some lines, kinda like some GSD lines from east germany that had aggression bred in there when they were used as border patrol, but i've never met one like this.

We use them as police dogs too, but those are mostly kennel dogs. I don't know how they would adapt to pet status.

When you go to a rescue or such there's no guarantee that I'll see a Neapolitan Mastiff, pure breed.

I would love a great dane, although my husband says too big . We'll def be rescuing. So will be looking for doberman mix or pitbull mix. Thought about breed rescuing also, but the mixes are supposed to have fewer health issues. Plus I miss having a puppy and you don't find many puppies in the breed rescues around here.

For me, I would consider getting an Irish Wolfhound,Beagle,another Corgi,Pitbull, American Staffordshire Terrier,Great Dane, Golden Retreiver, Lab..........The list goes on and on
