I'm always going to have an Aussie. But I also am going to get a Rottie, a Border Collie, a Rough Collie, mutts, mutts, mutts and and ACD. Possibly a Fila, need to meet one first.

You still have Cooper right? Or did I miss something with all my problems I've been having accessing Chaz?

This can be like when you're 18 and up. I probably won't be able to have another dog till... maybe when I'm like 26.

I'd like to eventually get a long haired chihuahua. (I have 2 short haired ones now) and after that maybe a bigger dog but I am not sure of the breed.

Can't imagine life without a GSD and at least one rescue mutt! I would like to try a small dog someday. Maybe a dachsund or a cocker spaniel, or both!

My next dog will be a black fila. I love the way they look. I would also like to have another rottie if I could find one from the old german lines. I also think the tosa inu is adorable. My son says this will be his next dog. I am looking forward to that in the future as my next grandpuppy.

there are several breeds i'd like to own at some point, but looking at things realistically instead of just "wishful thinking" that list would get narrowed down quite a bit.

yeah, it's possible to keep large dogs in apartments or houses without a decent sized yard, but for me personally that's (a) not fair to the dog and (b) i'd want to be able to offer a breed the kind of environment and lifestyle it was bred for.

my husband likes to travel and i like to bring the dog along as much as possible, so for the next 15 years or so i'm not planning on any of the larger breeds i'm considering (giant schnauzer, black russian terrier, hovawart etc.) but instead on "big dogs in a small package", like for example jack russell or border terrier or another wirehaired dachshund to compete in earthdog trials and hunt tests.

but then things often tend to develop completely different than you planned them anyway, so i'll just wait and see. we are also planning on moving to new zealand at some point and if at all possible i'd want to avoid having any pets go through 30 days of quarantine.

Another breed to add to my "get sooner-rather-than-later" list is the Whippet. They are MAGNIFICENT dogs, and would match up so well with my Border Collies. I have adored every Whippet I've met. They're such polite dogs by nature.
