What does your dog get to chew, and how often?

With Missy, a 12 inch bully stick (I try to get the thickest ones I can find) lasts her about two hours. A trachea (the large ones) lasts her around 15 minutes.
Do you weight them? When we get our Westerns orders in whoever is counting them weighs them all and holds back the biggest handful for me and a coworker of mine :p
We hold back the largest tracheas and CC paddywacks for me as well, lol.

Poor Frodo. What kibble are you doing?
NB Alpha Trout/Salmon/Whitefish cause it was the only kibble I had in the house (had been using it as treats), and he was on it with nice stool for 4 days so I filled a small kong with canned food and pumpkin...gross, messy stools. It is *SO* frustrating.
I am going to work him through a bag of NV rabbit and then Now! Senior and see if I can switch him back to raw after that.

Yeah, tracheas don't last nearly as long as a lot of the other stuff, but they are Frodo's absolute favorite :p

I have raw marrow bones and split knuckles around all the time. I put out fresh ones every few days. I also have nylabones and antlers out all the time too but they only pick those up once in a while.

YES! I thought I was the only one that did that! :lol-sign: Whenever I'm stocking them, I pull out the biggest ones and weigh them. Same thing with the Merrick knuckle bones - sometimes you get truly massive ones.

Okay, just wondering. Did you guys get that Firm Up stuff from Diggin Your Dog? We've sold quite a few and I've heard some great reviews.

And, yes, it is VERY frustrating when the way we want to feed them doesn't work - Sassy won't touch most canned food or raw, and it bothers me to no end. Jack won't eat things that crunch - no biscuits, very few chews, etc. I hope this thing with Frodo is just a stomach bug and not something more serious!

Finn has Nylabones and a deer antler available at all times, as well as a porkskin chew or two (like rawhide, but much more digestible).

He gets a big footlong greasy bullystick once every two weeks or so as his extra special treat. Otherwise I try and give him a big RMB twice a week, as well as raw marrow bones here and there.

He also tends to get whatever new chews we get at work so I can guinea pig them for how long they last, to tell customers. :p

Not counting RMB's that I consider food, she gets marrow bones (frozen) to gnaw on when I remember or feel like she needs one (as frequently as a few a week, as infrequently as once every few months).

She has an antler chew kicking around that she still picks up at least every second or third day and spends a chunk of time chewing on.

As for edible chews (like bully sticks and the like) she only gets them on occasion. She'll get one when she comes to work with me (which is less frequently these days), she'll get one if I feel like spoiling her and bringing one home.

We've been on a big cut-back from treats in the last few months because Sierra was carrying some extra weight.

As long as I can afford the new treats and they are Frodo safe (aka: can't break teeth) then I do this. We just got new ones that are 10.00 before discount, I want to bring one home, but my tight budget would prefer I didn't :p

My two have a collection of marrow bones and knuckle bones lying around. They also have nylabones which Cricket actually loves! We sell antlers at work so I'm going to get them some and we just got a big order of bully sticks in. They also get RMBs every so often and I found a place that sells elk antlers so id like to get one. We try new chew ideas whenever we can afford to.

We started carrying Tartar Dhield chews at work and the dogs get one of those almost every day. I was getting the extra large ones, but they're loaded with calories so I just went down to the large size. They like them, they're digestible, and they're cheap - about 50 cents each. They also get Jumbo Greenies on occasion - Petsmart has the singles for $1.06 for some reason (the next smaller size is around $2.50 o.0). They LOVE greenies.

Aside from that they also get pig ears (smoked, puffed and raw), pig and cow snouts, bully sticks, chicken quarters, chicken necks, tracheas, hooves (on occasion), sometimes rawhide if I find just the right ones, compressed porkhide "bones," etc

For chew toys they get kongs on occasion, stuffed or empty. I also have some sory of rubber Nylabone (rhino? it's rubber like a Kong but Nylabone brand and bone-shaped), a TireBiter bone, and until a few months ago I got rubber bones from JeffersPet. Logan has slacked off on his chewing a LOT in the last several months. He rarely touches that rubber stuff now.

The dogs I'm watching have some sory of nylabone that logan LOVES and doesn't destroy. My mission tomorrow is to go to a pet store and figure out what it is, and then order one online since it's probably cheaper that way lol. Logan has destroyed every other nylabone I've given him.

They also get antlers when I can find them for cheap. My trainer sells them for $5 each. But by dogs are also antler demolishers and they don't last long.

Stuffed kongs and turkey necks when PWCorgi orders them.

We used to do beef ribs and cow hooves but we've ended up with broken teeth so... no more hard chews.

Puppy here, so tons and tons to chew everyday, so I don't pull my hair out.

Right now, she is working on a dehydrated duck foot from our favorite boutique.

Throughout the day, she will work on:

bully stick
rawhide
frozen chicken foot
frozen stuffed kong
tripe twist

and sometimes I will pull the bedding out of her crate and give her a marrowbone in there, and then just wipe it down with 409 or whatever.

She also eats raw and because she's leeeetle she has to work pretty hard on her bone-in chicken.

For Macky, who's an adult, everyday she gets a pork hide twist made by Waggin' Train (this is courtesy of my mother, I think she could do without the extra calories everyday), and she also has antlers and some stuff laying around that she will poke at. She also gets RMBs when I feel so inclined.

Buzz says "Aunt Lauren in the best, she gives into my sad puppeh doggeh eyes. Every. Single. Time."
True Statement.

Nope Justa :p The one with the bone is a no-go for Frodo, he would try to break the bone. I want to get him the one with knots on either end and the spiral one.
