Dizzy's thread got me thinking...

What do you call your mom?
Mom, mommy, madre, mother, her name, mama, mum, ect?

I call my mom, mami [which is mommy in spanish] and I call my grandmother, mama.

Maman.

Though for a while she got tired of all of use calling her Maaamaaaaaan, so she said to call her by her first name...and we did. For the longest time it took me a while to start calling her Maman again.

My son calls me mom.

I have two moms... my biological mom and my step mom. I just call them both mom. Can get confusing when I'm talking to one of them and I mention the other... haha

Mum.

I will call her by her 1st name to get her attention - she's selectively deaf sometimes! It usually weirds her out to hear her name being said by one of us... even if we are 30, 26 and 19.....!

Mom, Momma, MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAA!! I only call her by her first name to p*ss her off. She doesnt use her first name and goes by her middle name. I only use her "real" name if I need to get her attention quick.

And yeah, it is weird to call her that...

I don't even understand the video.

And now, I don't see it as a sign of disrespect or respect. It's simply what you call them and HOW you say it that says it all as far as respect goes.

I mostly call her mum.

I always called her mommy when I was a teen and it used to annoy the hell out of her haha.
