See I may be a bad example. Im a Yanky turned red neck. :D

I was born and rasied in Chicago, IL and now live in Nashville, TN. In Nashville people say diffrent things like, yonder, rekon, hosepipe, maders, taders, ya'll, I think they say coke, bucks, and things like this. The more I live here the less I notice it.

What do you all call your parents??

They're Mom and Dad for me, my nephew calls his mom (my sister) Momma, and his Dad (my brother-in-law) Dad, Daddy, and somtimes Dud (he combined "dad" with his dad's name, "doug" LOL).

ROFL! Dave, has anyone ever - to your face, that is - explained the difference between a Yankee and a Damyankee?

A Yankee is someone from "up North." A Damyankee is a Yankee who came south and stayed . . . :D

I haven't found out yet what they call me; I got here by way of northern California with a layover in Wilmington, NC . . .

I had a hard time understanding what anyone was saying when we moved from the Bay Area to Wilmington
