I don't care if Quinn barks at people at the door, or jumps on me. She only does it when she hasn't seen me for awhile, and she is so gentle. She doesn't keep jumping - just very lightly puts her paws on my waist and keeps them there. She also doesn't LLW. I wish she did but I've kind of given up - she doesn't pull hard, but she stays at the end of the leash.
Ned isn't allowed to jump like Quinn is. He's still pretty gentle but is a lot more excitable than Quinn. Whereas she'll jump up once or twice and stay there, he'll jump, run around and go to someone else, come back and jump again, rinse repeat. I'm also being careful to maintain a nice LLW with him, not because of anything he's done, but just because of my mistakes with Quinn.
eta; They're also allowed to mooch. As long as they don't whine or bark, or stick their nose in my plate, I don't care if they lie down and watch me eat.
