This is NOT a list by preference

Alaskan Malamute
Australian Shepherd
Beagle
Bernese Mountain Dog
Bloodhound
Border Collie
Boxers
Brittany
Chow Chow
Dachshund
German Shepherd Dog
Great Danes
Mutts
Pit Bull
Poodle
Pug
Rhodesian Ridgeback
Rottweiler
Saint Bernard
Siberian Husky
Weimaraner

Most of these dogs (except Rhodesian Ridgeback and Brittany) My dad has worked with when he used to train and breed them for other people. He doesn't do that anymore and its a shame because I always met such nice, happy dogs. I guess any dog I come upon I fall in love with :p

Why would your dad breed them for other people?

He bred mostly for AKC dog owners who we're too scared to do it. He meant well but after he found out about all those dogs in the shelters, he decided to just stick with training. He even vonlunteered at some local shelters and I always tagged along.Of course he does neither now since we moved.

Ohhh I see......Although (like you said) he was probably good intentioned, I'm glad he stopped. Most people that are good breeders probably know how to do it themselves , or that's what I would think?
Anyways, I bet you had fun tagging along :)

Oh yes, I had a LOT of fun.I grew up with the dogs at the shelter. When people came to adopt a dog, they'd often see me playing with one, see how playful the dog was and adopt it. One day they brought in this crazed Fila Brazileiro (no offense to them though, my neighbors have one and shes just a sweetie) well anyway he broke out of his kennel and attacked me. Man it was scary! I'll stop rambling now.

That must have been scary!!
Did you get stitches?

I was attacked by a german shepherd once.........I was the meanest dog I've ever seen and it did a good job on my left arm. Had to get 9 stitches.

Yes 14 on my left arm 6 on my left leg and on my back I got separate cuts but altogether it was 11. Also one on my face where the dog scratched me.It might sound like a lot but you can barely notice them. And it was SUPER scary!

Oh I don't blame the shepherd at all! The owner "trained" it to be aggressive. But I'm still a bit weary of German Shepherds, although they are lovely dogs they just still scare me a bit.

Favorite Breed

I just want to share with you my love for my golden retriever, Heidi. I've had other dogs, which I loved dearly, but this one is soooooo smart it's scarey! She has to be the most lovable too. She helps bring in my groceries, puts the laundry in hamper, brings her food dish when hungry, loves to play and learn new tricks, (quickly). I look forward to coming home from work and receive a slurpy welcome! :D
How do I attach a photo of her?
