Golden retrievers, Siberian Huskeys and Canadian Eskimo Dogs are probably the top 3 pure-breds. However, being that Jake is a 'mutt', I'm kinda partial to them overall.

Also, though I've never been drawn to poodles as a breed, I've met some poodles (not sure if they were toy or mini) which seemed to really connect to me & vice vera....and you can't ignore a dog who thinks the world of you on a first meeting! :)

I like most breeds, especially sighthounds, and GSDs, and crossbreeds (especially of GSD and sighthound in case Bonnie is reading this!) too.

My favorite of all the breeds is the old-fashioned German Shepherd - good herding lines, not the show dogs. Then I'm forever enslaved to the Filas, and I guess after that, my other two favorites are Big dogs and Little dogs, lol! It's always the personality that gets to me more than the appearance of the dog.

My 1st love is Golden Retriever. I love the looks of a great big German Shepard though. Just love big dogs with big heads, big hearts and eyes that look into your very soul. I can admire small dogs......if they aren't yippy - nippy. Just have never had one, so can't really judge.

I'm with Renee - big dogs and small dogs. :)

    I love mutts.

But I do have to say that after meeting my NewfieX and finding out more about the breed I think they are wonderful. I would like another dog like Maverick. He's so special. Mikey is too of course but he's a lot of work. Completely lovable though LOL
