What am I most afraid of? The status quo, people go back to normal, nobody is willing to make sacrafices or work together, it's party politics as usual and the stupid infighting continues.
I'm not afraid of universal health care, although I do not like the idea. The other option in this election was not any better, in fact from my stand point it was worse, most people don't realize it though because they were too afraid of the word "socialized medicine". I have my doubts it ever comes about anyway.
I'm not afraid of losing my guns, i'll fight till I die before someone comes and takes those. I have a feeling most courts would also back me up on that. Dem's may have a majority, but there are still checks and balances in the gov't, when they aren't bypassing them like the last admin.
I'm not afraid of abortion, it's a personal issue and choice. i would hope nobody I ever know is faced with the decision of abort or not and if they were I'd be there in whatever capacity they needed me in, but in the end it is not MY decision to make. It doesn't make me any less a believer in God either, but if you feel you must judge me, go ahead.
The war is going to affect this country for years and years, no matter if we pull out today (which would be bad) or pull out 10 years from now (still bad). There is no easy answer or one that will make people happy. It is what it is and we just have to work thru it.
I'm not concerned with the "spreading of wealth" because it is a necessary part of a properly working society. It's been shown again and again thruought history. I don't think his plans include taking 10K a year from me, so somebody can sit at home and watch the Jerry Springer show either. I have no problems paying a little more if it makes our country stronger. I was actually more concerned with the concentration of power moving "up" that has occured over the past 8 years and the way it was achieved.
I hope we can move on as a country and everyone would use their own mind to make a decision and actually think about some things before they react.
