I'm afraid of heights, well more the coming down syndrome. I can climb up anywhere no problem but when it comes time to come down. I'm stuck because I freeze and can't move.

I have a severe phobia of spiders. I am actually going through desensitization therapy right now for it, because the phobia was interfering with my daily life too much. Hopefully, I'll be able to get over it a little.

We have a lot of stuff to talk over. He was never one to show pain and still at 78 he wont ask for help for anything. I get a kick out of the way he used to think I was a hard head. I remember wanting out of the house as soon as I could get out, I needed my liberty. My dad is the same way and hes gonna hang on to his liberty as long as he can, but when hes ready to let life get a little easier on him I have a door wide open for him. I have to drag stuff out of him, I dont want him to die holding on to some silly notion that showing pain, guilt, fear or love is unmanly. He has about 50 years of venting to do and I want to be there for it.

I rethought my fears, they are the same basic fears but certainly not limited to teenagers or elderly

Aggressive drivers
Fearfull drivers
Preoccupied drivers (phones, loud music, make up, lost or confused)

I think my biggest fear is that something will happen to my animals! I'm quite paranoid about it. And any dreams I have about something happening to them I take quite seriously.
I had a horrific nightmare about my precious pug "Mabel" dying. A week or so later she was diagnosed with a fatal brain disease. We lost her two months later to the disease. My dogs becoming deathly ill is my biggest fear in life. I still stuffer from PTSD from what Mabel went through. :(

I'm scared of my girls getting hurt, too.....I had one really weird nightmare where my Mom, sister and I got back from vacation and found that our dogs no longer had tails, my Dad had had them docked!! And then he goes, "Oh, I was just about to get them cropped!" I don't know HOW I had such a weird dream, but I woke up screaming - I cannot imagine my girls being tailless.

I love rats!!! My sister Josie used to have one named Gypsy Lou, she was such a sweetheart, she'd stand on my shoulder and brush my hair with her paws. They're tails are a little weird, but pet rats are adorable little things, I love them so much.
Snakes....I like them OK, we once found a bunch of baby garter snakes in a field by our house and brought them home with us and put them in our garden....but I'm not a huge fan of them.

Well, the thing that scared me most about rats.

Watching Willard, the movie Rats (although cheesy), and then later on seeing this GIGANTIC rat the size of a full grown dachshund on the street... I was afraid to get out of the car.

I'm just.... *shudders* I can't stand rats.

And I kinda like snakes... it's just that I used to have a lot of dreams about being SURROUNDED by snakes of all shapes and sizes so I've sorted developed a fear of them. But I once saw a Garter snake pass by me and I really didn't react. I was fairly surprised at how fast it was going.

And I also saw a cotton mouth. Just stayed a good distance a way from it... but they still kinda creep me out.

And spiders... that and rats are probably the worst for me....

Yeah getting struck by something as venomous as that as it grips your skin injecting it's needle-sharp fangs into your skin releasing it's venom into your bloodstream and rushing to the hospital not knowing if you'll live-- it doesn't get any cooler.

I like the small pet rats. They are so cool!! I want one but my Mom hates rodents. Josie offered to give me her pet mice she has now but my Mom will NOT let me have them, she hates rodents.

LOL yeah I don't think you'd think getting bitten by a venomous snake was so cool once you were in the emergency room.

Yeah, but it's always fun to brag... if I was bitten I would brag to my friends "Yep, see that scar right there, that was when this snake bit me... not just any snake... a rattle snake"

*Friends* *stereotype surfer accent* "whooaaa.... aaaawwweesssoommeee...
