i'm very very sorry gempress. i live with pit bulls and i know something like this could happen at any time and i hope and pray and do everything i can to ensure it won't, but... there's always risk. i hope that you will be able to find a good, safe home for voodoo quickly.

I just wish there was someone temporary that could take him while looking for a permanent home. Euthanasia, of course has to be the very last resort. I didn't want you to think that I was all for it as a short cut, rather than finding him a home...my post kind of sounded that way. Isn't there someone out there who could just foster him for a little while? I do hope something miraculous happens. ((hugs))

Gemp did you call that man in Pearland looking for a catch dog ?? That would be the best thing for Voodoo to be doing . He would be the king of his world. He would be a working Catahoula. I so want your beautiful Vood Monster to have a long and good life. Working on a daily bases is the thing he needs and he could be a great buddy to this man.

So sorry to read about this, Gempress. Been there with one dog being aggressive towards another (still there, actually - I have to keep Holly and Abbey separated at all times).
I hope and pray Voodoo finds a home soon. I know the Rottie rescues take in Rott mixes, so hopefully either the Catahoula or pit rescues will be able to help. (((Hugs!)))

Looks like you've gotten alot of help and a few leads for rescues or homes. I don't know anything at all about this organization except that I go to their website from time to time. Someone here might know something about them that would make them unsuitable, but I thought it might be one more place to look:

My heart goes out to you Gempress. Your posts have always been my favorites and I too, feel like I know Zeus and Voodoo even though we've never met. I hope everything works out.

I'm curious though, how do you think Zeus will handle Voodoo being gone? I know dogs can get depressed when their companion is gone. Would you get another playmate for Zeus? Just curious.
