Vomited after worming? advice..

hi i wormed my dog this morning but near enough a hour after he vomited and the food he ate looked the same as it went in. i dont think he got any of it.

i think it was due to something he ate rather then the wormer.
shall i reworm tomorrow morning?

how long shall i leave it before reworming

I am not familiar with this particular wormer, but I would say go ahead and give it again tomorrow. Did you try calling your vet to ask?

but it doesnt say right after, same day next day, two weeks later.......

how long before redosing and i have one pack of the same tablets. no pink fawn what not.

i think i have one tablet mixed with the lot

That is not a good dewormer in my opinion!

I would stick with an active ingredient of pyrantel pamoate(round or hooks), or fenbendazole (a very broad dewormer), or Praziquantel (tapeworms).

I would not give that again!

ANY dewormer can cause a dog to vomit. Typically it happens within an hour and is a systemic reaction to one or more of the active ingredients or the carrier.
The question then is how effective has the deworming been and the only straight answer is that you don't know.
As long as the dog doesn't continue vomiting, deworm again with the same dewormer in 2 weeks time. If the vomiting repeats then obviously change the dewormer, taking note of the active ingredients.However, you may find a different brand with the same active ingredients that does not cause a problem because the dosage or carrier is different.
In short - trial and error is the name of the game but you can obviously short circuit the process by starting off with a high quality vet recommended dewormer (as opposed to one bought off a supermarket shelf).

Remember - in matters biological there are more grey areas than hard and fast rules.

so i will ring the vet and see whats best to use. they will probably recommend the one i used because its a good make or so im told lol
