see i would be mean...

i would put a padlock on the gate and a sign saying no trespassing.

then next time i see her i would say somehting along the lines of "have you had anyone sneaking around your house the past few days?! cause we noticed someones been in our yard when were not home so we've had to put a padlock on the gate. shame realy" and see what she says/does, if no reaction assume she feels no guilt and keep the padlock on.

if she apologizes explain that you felt a little violated by this intrusion that is your property and its just plain rude and that you would be happy to give her directions to the local home depot/ect so they can buy their own fence for their dog.

i like Snip's idea too!

My hubby is always saying he'd love to have a paintball gun to shoot at idiots that cut him off when he's driving ~it'd be pretty cool to rig it so that one could nail her in the back if she opened your gate again :D of course, that probably isn't a really good idea either  but the thought is satisfying :lol-sign:

i would definitely padlock your gate.

I'm flabberghasted that someone could be so rude! :yikes:

If the dog had pooped in the yard I would leave it on her porch but since it peed . . . Use food coloring to dye some water yellow, put it in a plastic bag, and knock on her door. "Your dog left this in the yard, but I soaked it up with a sponge . . . I wouldn't want you to lose it. *smile smile, dump it on the porch*"

Okay, first, take pictures. Then go over with said pictures and say "Um...want to explain this?" There's no way to deny it with photographic evidence. A conversation might work, but there's always the "are you SURE it was me?" line. ( no it was some OTHER horrifically rude neighbor with a huge dog! Silly me.) Also, maybe a no trespassing sign is in order? Or...you could just plop a strategically placed pile of poo right where she would walk to get into your yard? :D

Just padlock it and leave it at that. You don't need bad vibes between neighbours.
The only time I got really rude with a neighbour was when I repeatedly asked them to pick up after their pug. Once while the pug was in action on my lawn, he just went inside.
I then picked it up on a spade and lobbed it at their front door, a fresh turd sticks wonderfully!

Wow. I don't care what purpose she thought she had, she totally trespassed on your yard.
I'd slap a padlock on that gate.
That is exactly what I would do as well. By putting a lock has stopped the dog from coming in, and also lets the owners know you know they are using your yard.. And yes to a no trespassing sign..
