Well he's getting fairly consistent without my flailing arms, lol.

Here's Zinga and I messing around with back up before one of my classes. I use a target for her, otherwise I end up with a mish mash of dancing back and forth with a random backup step thrown in. The normal backup is what we are working on this week.. she does have a scoot and a reverse scoot, but they get a little hairy at times so we threw those in at the end.

I love how she prances with her back feet.

Maybe I will try a target for Pip and/or Maisy. I tried to shape it with them and it turned into a lot of "stand up-sit down-stare stare stare-stand up-lay down-stare stare stare-stand up-come closer-repeat everything" and eventually ended up in both cases with a dog in my lap looking pathetically sad.

Zander's mastered back up. And back up in a down. And back up in a stand up. And back up on the stairs. And back up in a heel. And...well...yeah.

He can't get the idea of backing into me though. Apparently that's just silly of me, like trying to get him to play fetch. He just looks at me like I'm stupid.

Oh I adore Squash. I also love his look of dismay like "really? I backed up THREE times lady, that means I get THREE treats."

LOL, right? He's not on board with the whole "rewarding at the end of a sequence" thing.

Although, in my defense, it was actually a whole handful of wee training treats. :p
