Where do you live? If you are interested and it flys with Steven, I may be able to look after him for you for the first year. I'll be getting my GSD from my breeder here in a month or two hopefully, and we're going to be doing Schutzhund and Rally, having one more dog isn't a terribly huge deal lol, that is, if you're close enough or interested. I can't remember where you live though :p

Thanks, Hayley, I am too. Trip to the vet today went great, vet was impressed with how energetic, happy, and fearless he was. Said he'll be just fine but again mentioned no running or rough play for a while. We're doing short walks on grass and stretching exercises several times a day and starting to look at the possibility of a chiropractor to help.

Monkeys - Haha, don't worry, I'm the same way! In person and individual chat I have an awfully foul mouth.

I say a lot of bad things about my sister, but in reality we're closer than most. We have a good relationship, just very differing personalities. After talking to her I do think she understands now. As far as schools go, the truth of it is is that I did consider the possibility of staying in Oregon, but my parents will not allow it. They were pushing for the "big name" schools I got in to, I was pushing for close to home, dog friendly. A school in Michigan or Minnesota is going to be the compromise - better academically than the Oregon schools but very dog friendly with multiple options for housing so I can take Trent with me. If I went to the East Coast I would not be able to take him.

Thank you for the offer! It means a lot to me :) (and did someone say GSD puppies in a month or two?!??)

However, I live in Oregon and am looking at schools in MI and MN. The rest of my family originally pushed for schools in the Northeast. Thank you for offering though, you are incredible for wanting to take on this lovable tank of energy and occasional insanity!

Ha, it'd be like having two Mals. They'd be able to wear each other out!! :D

If you do change your mind, my offer still stands. The midwest is a bit of a hike from here (ATL) so I completely understand.

And no, not a puppy, unfortunately, lol (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it :p) but a 9month old PP/Ring candidate for me. I've met him a couple times, and he seems awesome. I can't wait to bring him home. He's more of the lighter boned, finer variety of GSD, very athletic, which is what I asked my breeder to find for me, because we may dabble in agility, and he's the grandson of both Aceofnike van het bleekhof and Zidane vom haus sevens. Nike on the top, and Zidane on the bottom.

His pedigree sounds similar to the puppy you were originally expecting, if I remember correctly? At 9 months old I bet he's still very much a puppy mentally (just look at Trent!), and you'll have plenty of crazy stories to tell and pictures to share. AND you won't even have to deal with that landshark stage! I adore puppies but if I were offered an adolescent I'd probably be more inclined to go that route... puppies are cute, and that is it. :lol-sign:

Thank you so much once again for the offer - I'll definitely keep it in mind. Although I have several friends in Georgia and have promised to visit them sometime in the next year or two. If we're ever in the area I'd love to drop by for a visit, if you'd have us!

I wish we lived closer to each other and I wish I had my own house by now! Trent and Quinn sound very similar to each other and it would be great to have a GSD around again (looks like WW has 2 Monty litters due July, one will be an all black litter - I can barely stand waiting!).
