Dante doesn't like the vacuum either. If it comes too close in his direction, he backs off, but he's still curious enough to have to know where it is so he's following it around. Other than that, he's not really a dog that gets scared easily. If it's stormy and dark outside he can be a little spooked by shadows and sometimes out in the forest there are some random areas he'll get scared of and refuse to walk over. I've never noticed anything but he's probably sensing something I can't, so we just walk around it.

Meg startles easily, but really doesn't have any odd fears.

The border collie at our barn is absolutely, utterly terrified of hot air balloons. Sadly, our barn is on the normal 'flight path' for someone that does balloon tours. When the dog comes slinking into the barn and lays in a corner shaking, you can be sure there is a balloon on it's way. He must hear them coming, because I frequently don't see them for 10 minutes or so after he starts reacting.

Shadow dislikes the vacuum and her retractable leash.
Here is a picture of her reaction to the retractable leash... I was trying to take a picture of her and dropped her leash accidently, i have it set so it stops 3 feet from her (doesn't hit her)..but the sound freaks her out.

Zoe is also enemy of the vacuum cleaner. She is also very afraid of loud noises, like motorcycles and the garbage truck. Sometimes she is afraid of certain people, but I don't know why- it may be a big hat their wearing or if they are carrying a backpack- anything that looks unusual to her and she'll bark and stay back from them. The 4th of July was a NIGHTMARE this year. She panted and paced around the house for hours until the fireworks stopped.

Oh let's see, we've got:
Vacuum, hairdryer, scrubbing sounds, trains, trucks, firecrackers, his long line for the first 20 minutes of use (THEN he chimes in "OH it's not chasing me."), stainless steel bowls, the phone, the noise the furnace makes when it turns on.. that's all I can think off of the top of my head.
Thankfully we're slowly working through most of these, but it sure is difficult having a sound sensitive dog.

She doesn't like the hoover or the noise balloons make and goes quite. She doesn't like fireworks either but acts the exacct opposite towards them, she's been charging around my room tonight defending me from the fireworks.

Dekka is petrified of going under an overpass in a vehicle. It got so bad she started to freak out when we got on the highway. Poor thing. She really wants to go for truck rides, but hides under the seat the whole way, if you don't put her in a crate.

Mini is fearless. Uncle Fred is afraid of people who yell, especially men. Not surpising, considering everything

Ruby is pretty level headed. Luckily nioses don't bother her, I can pretty much do anything to her. Hyper little kids, overly playful puppies and energetic big dogs seem to annoy her, though... she isn't afriad of them, she just acts like she can't be bothered by their immaturity and ignores/avoids them... she's not the most happy go lucky dog I've met

Bandit was hit by a car awhile back. Cars scare him poopless if he's not in one. Spanky doesn't like getting in a car. He gets car sick.

Paige- do you also have horses? A friend of mine has a show horse, and he is afraid of the bag that carrots come in. He has to wrap them in paper towels or he freaks out. Isn't that cute?

Dance is afraid of the TV remote. And really sudden loud noises (but that's not really fear, it's just unexpected, so naturally she reacts but it fine within a second). That's all though.

Lol, Winston is only afraid of puppies.

Morgan is terrified of absolutely anything and everything - seriously, the only things she isn't afraid of are the people and the dogs in my family.

Ronin is afraid of being left alone, mostly. Some would say he's afraid of strangers to are too forward with their petting, but in reality he's just one of those Dobes that only likes contact with strange people on *his* terms.

Ilsa is afraid of the vaccuum cleaner and high, unsteady surfaces - she had an A-frame collapse under her when she was a teenager, so she gets a bit antsy around high places that might collapse under her.

Ada, apparently, is afraid of birthday cakes.

Oh golly I've got an entire crew! My mom has six (my first pony, the first rescue, an old blind mare who was a faithful riding horse for years, her current riding horse and that mare's babe, and a rescue who was suppose to be rehomed but is now permidently on the hay bill). I personally own a cute Arab/Qh named Cougey but all the mares at my mom's are still very much my girls.

Awwh that is cute! Cougey you can throw those big yoga balls at him and he won't spook. He'll take you up the mountain, past bears, in the river, chill with cats glomping onto his head, dogs barking at his feet, go through McDonald's drive through, guns being fired off of him and look pretty doing it. But then he has his days where everything spooks him. Doors, dirt, sweaters he saw me just take off. Whatever. Keeps me on my toes.

The pony is deathly afraid of the sound clippers make. If she can here them she's freaking out. This pony doesn't spook at all but clippers send her into a complete fit. Odd how some of their minds work, eh?

Kiba - Fearless unless someone is cooking. Basically my mom burns everything, and everytime she cooks the smoke alarm would go off. Kiba used to be afraid of just that. But it has now progressed to someone cooking.. probably thinks the smoke alarm will go off or something and freaks out. She also doesnt like when the foster rabbit thumps his leg in his cage.. she goes and hides. And she either doesnt care, or will attack the vaccumm cleaner.

Stryder - He's my little scaredy boy. Anything that "chases" him he is afraid of, he's scared of men (though has never been hit or anything by one), scared of the vaccuum cleaner (unless I'm using it or Kiba is with him attacking it). He attacks brooms and rakes when you're using them.. but pick them off the ground and try to show it to him he's terrified. On the otherhand, he tries to chase loud noisy trucks, motorcycles, etc.

Izzy - she's pretty good about most things, I can't think of anything that scares her actually.

Frodo - Geez, it's probably easier to count the things he isn't scared of. He has a huge fear of exercise balls though. Won't go in a room if it's in there.

Mollie - being crated totally freaks her out. Not suprising since she spent her first year in a tiny puppymill cage.

Gunnar is scared of the vacuum. When you take it out of the closet, he will go into another room. Daisy is the same. Bruzer doesn't really mind the vacuum but he'll go where the others go. Gunnar doesn't like the big push broom, though he's not scared of it. It's more like he hates it and he'll go after it to bite it. Same with shovelling anything, he will bite whatever you are shovelling right off the shovel, especially snow.

Daisy is petrified of the lawn tractor and minorly petrified of things like the blower or weed whacker. She will run to the farthest point of the yard and hide. Gunnar and Bruzer don't mind the tractor. I think Gunnar would tag along beside me if I let him out of the fenced area while I cut the grass.

All three are scared of the Nemo, the king of the house kitty. And for good reasons too, since Nemo seems to think the dogs are there for his pleasure. I'll often hear the dogs barking and not wanting to come into another room because Nemo is hiding behind the door ready to pounce at them.

Other then that, Kassie is not afraid of too much. If we're out on a walk and she hears a big dog bark she'll stand near me. She's not scared when seeing them. She's my little mascot in the grooming shop and love seeing the dogs come in.

I can always tell if a raccoon or skunk is in the yard from Boomer's reaction. He'll stand near the door, pee or poo a few feet out, and give out a low growl and run back in the house as soon as he's done. He was scared of umbrellas when first introduce to them.

Tilly is afraid of her own shadow, it would probably be easier to name what she isn't afraid of. lol She tolerates things easily though, afterwards, even if she's afraid.

Honey is afraid of everything: any noise or object; any person including us calling her or coming towards her--big dogs; people staring at her; cars going by while on walks--pretty much everything

Wrigley is afriad of and hates children; and is afraid of the vacuum
