I think I'm guilty of this sometimes ..but it comes from a genuine place& if it's something I know lots about (focus, building tug drive in non-tugging dogs ..and that's about it! LOL!). I'm sure some people think 'That dog of hers isn't even that focused so why is she giving advice?' but the reality is we've FOUGHT to get the focus we have now& I learned a lot ..so even if people have way less issues, sometimes I think the vast knowledge I've accumulated in the last 18 months may help someone new to figuring out their issue with maybe not so much experience in the 'bad dog' category !

Well, this post was pretty much "I forgot to release Logan from his down stay and he's still here an hour later" and I got suggestions on training him to lay on a mat for long downs, blah blah blah, use a timer, blah blah blah. NO. He has a down stay, and he has a long down. I don't want advice. I don't need to use a timer. I forgot to release him ONE TIME, and he was good and stayed put. I don't need training advice when I post about my dog BEING GOOD.

My dad almost died this summer, and he's having a really rough recovery. He went into everything skinny and lost sixty pounds.

I went over to my parents' house tonight, and when I got there he was making dinner. He had me taste the potato salad. I did, and stuck the fork back in. Now I'm really sick--tummy bug. It's awful.

It turns out he's had a stomach illness for a few days, so if I have the same thing, at least he can't catch it from me, but my mom and sister both ate the potato salad too, so I really hope they don't catch it.

We didn't realize he'd been ill-ill, because the reason he's still losing weight is that he's been vomiting...

Ugh. I'm sick AND I feel like a jerk. Bleh.

I'm supposed to go hiking tomorrow, and on Wednesday we're flying to Austin.

I just want to watch Doctor Who and cry, dammit, but I've conditioned myself to fall asleep to Doctor Who in bed, which makes it hard to have a regeneration marathon and cry my eyes out.

Found out wood floors are not going to work at the new house. I hate carpet!!

Waiting to get a couple bids on redoing subfloor but the floor guy thinks the beams have some different heights. Not such an easy fix.

All the colors, furniture etc Are based around the wood I picked out.

Can something please go right?!

What about tile or laminate? Laminate is probably out if it's because the floor's uneven, but tiles can be done on an uneven floor. I hate carpet too. I developed this hate recently when we ripped out our carpet and saw how disgusting it was underneath :yikes:

Ugh, I hate carpet as well. After renting apartments with carpet throughout college, we made sure that our first house was entirely wood and tile. At least dirt will sit on the surface and can't hide underneath.

If anything, you could do a tighter woven carpet, like berber. We're putting that in our nursery in the next couple of months because although I hate carpet, I want to have a soft place for our little one to crawl around.

Good luck!

Haha, yep! We'll be halfway towards outnumbering the dogs this summer. I'm a little over 13 weeks along and due on July 5th.

We're having a gender scan on January 11th and then we'll get serious about the nursery. I want to do a forest animal theme either way, but I'd like to make it primarily pink or purple if it's a girl! I can't wait to start putting it together.

Husband likes carpet. I keep pointing out what the only carpeted floor looks like in our home now and he still doesn't get it!

I think its worth having it all redone to me. But I wanted in before baby gets here and if we redo it all it will be a while.

I wanted all the bedrooms wood to and finally gave in to carpet upstairs. Husband said needed to be soft for baby to but all I can picture is the time m little brother smeared poo into his carpet and the stain never came out.

I think I said congrats on Facebook but congrats again! Everyone I know lately is having a boy so ill think pink for you!
