oh I am awesome at texting! i do not call people, I text them. Used to easily do 500 texts a day on my slow days, LOL...now that I have my netbook, I am down to about 350 a day.

Although, I do find it pretty sad that texting has become such a big part in this generations lives that there is now sexting o_O
Before it was email. I think the sexting law amongst teens is stupid to be charged as child pornography.

For Christmas my family got new phones with unlimited texting. I'm getting much better at it, and I can see why people like it so much! In my phone it saves each converstion under the person's name so you can easily see what you were talking about earlier in the day or last week. I love it.

yes and you can leave messages that weren't worth a phone conversation. Like Hey I left my bag at your house.. will swing by later to get it sort of thing..

I agree! Texting while driving, to me, is not much better than drinking and driving.

It seems a good amount of people that text do so in VERY inappropriate situations. I also HATE it when people I'm trying talk face to face to start texting someone while I'm speaking to them. Excuse yourself, answer it if you must, but don't just start talking to someone else while I'm speaking! How rude.I also remember those highschool days when students would text during class. I always hated that with a passion. I've always found it to be INCREDIBLY disrespectful - whether it be highschool or college. I've seen it in both.
Oh, and how about the people who think that because you're texting someone it's okay to interrupt? That drives me nuts. Do it and I'm going to keep right on doing what I was doing when you walked up and rudely insisted that I pay attention to you, that what I was doing was unimportant.

I occasionally use texting. Mostly to the hubby when hes at work and I need him to bring something home and he can't answer his phone. Or if I'm meeting someone, I will say on my way. I have a few that I have saved so that all I have to do is pick who I want to send it to and poof its on its way there with out typing it all out. I don't have unlimited texting but the hubby does due to his friends. If I had a different phone with an actual keyboard on it I might be inclined to text more.

It goes both ways for me.

I am non confrontational so I can say things via text message I wouldnt be able to say in person or on the phone, I'd freeze up.

When I was dating Josh I sent him a snarky text and he called me immediately after and said, let's talk about this. And I said, can't I just text you? lol.

It gives me a sense of courage, but also, when you're an open book about your feelings, can be a bad thing when it comes to boys, lol.

My favorite thing to do! LOL....they won't pick up when you're calling, but send them a nasty text, oh yeah that'll spark their interest!
