Do you mind me asking the difference or reasoning behind Koolies and Coolies, is there a reason for the different spelling, or is it just down to preference?
Pretty much down to spelling. Some people believe that Coolies is the proper name and some believe Koolies. Then there is also the divide of German Coolies versus Australian C/Koolies. The interpretation of historical evidence of how the breed originated differs, hence the alternating names.
