Oh, wow! The biggest dog I've ever owned was my 80 pound Husky/Malamute (though her ideal weight was 70 pounds). LOVE big dogs...can't have them now, though

Being so large, what is their life span like?

Unfortunately it is short. Usually around 10 years. But, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to have a Fila for the world. They are wonderful dogs. I think you would love one Pam, they are so loving and adore children.

That's the only thing I don't like about large dogs...the short life spans :(. Once Damien is older and we have the opportunity to get into our own home, I am most definitely getting a large breed. I just love having a huge dog to snuggle with. Small dogs are great, but it's just not the same.
Do they get along with little dogs?

Little dogs walk all over these dogs. It is so funny. As large as Filas are, they can be very gentle with small dogs and children.

Titus and Havoc were both afraid of little dogs they came in contact with at the vet last month. If they saw a big dog they were fine, but small ones, they would try to hide and whine. This month, no problem. They seem to be a little more confident around other dogs at 4 months.

wow--that first picture just makes me melt...what a gorgeous pup! And look at the size of those paws--he sure is going to be a big guy! How big is Brutus? Will he be similar size do you think?

Bax, Brutus weighs 162.5 lbs. I think Titus will be about the same size as his dad. Havoc may be a little bit bigger than Brutus when he is grown.

Thank you! He gets a lot of attention. Brutus plays with him constantly. Brutus has to take naps occasionally, and his nap time is precious. ;)
