Oh god, my koolie wait has grown exponentially after meeting Trav and Didgie. They are so quirky and friendly and full of personality, and watching Trav at the dog park was so much fun.

Traveler just laid across my shoulders and Didgie was making out with me and I was in heaven.
Right? I thought I had pretty much decided against them, but now they are back on my list.

I keep saying I'll go "next year" but I never do. Too much going on this year. Still shooting for next year then. :p Juno would have fun.

I just need to bring back a whole litter of koolies when I go to Australia. Sound good? Good.
Yes!!!! Do it!!!!!

2017 meet up will be held in Australia. We will all come back with an entire litter of koolies. Koolies everywhere.
2017 :D

I will totally do it. I'm bringing back one for myself, what's an extra one or five puppies? The noise on the plane would be amazing.
Yes! You will likely bringing one home for me! ;)

Petty whine:

BYB route is starting to almost look attractive in my hunt for a tinydog. Snubbed by 6 breeders and counting. The "I don't produce what you're looking for" or "I won't sell to homes who will/won't XYZ" is one thing, but just NOT responding is driving me nuts.

Like is it really that bad to send a few sentences saying "sorry, no" or are folks just that rude?

I'm happy you all weren't off put by my dogs! I'm pretty sure they thought we held the meet up just for them.

I kept forgetting these were dog people here and I didn't have to manage them as much. I'm use to not dog people who don't appreciate the dog on your head or making out with you.

What are you looking for? If you do the Facebook thing, sometimes groups geared towards your breed are pretty awesome for networking with breeders. Added bonus, you can see how that breeder interacts with other people.

I'm sorry your quest for chihuawesomeness has been so difficult. I really don't understand not responding at all like that.

Also, 'chihuahua' is awesome for making portmanteau words.

That.

The breeder search is really frustrating, and ultimately I've had to just redefine what "reputable" means to me, decide what sort of things I'M comfortable with and go from there. Obviously I don't know what you're looking for, but it helped open up my options when I stopped worrying about what other people's opinions are and just focused on the things that mattered to me. That doesn't mean you have to go "BYB" (well, what's considered a BYB to one person might not be to another) but it also means you don't have to just focus on the big name breeders either.

My 2 cents on the subject. :p
