Three weeks since I've contacted this breeder. No answer.

I spose I could just give up and start looking at other breeders... but I like these dogs SO MUCH and I want one from these lines. :( Le woe.
Can you give them a call? Maybe something happened with their email.

Yeah, I called after 10 days. No answer, so I left a voicemail. They haven't returned it.

A friend of mine who has one of their dogs and has been in steady contact with them is going to drop 'em a line and see if they answer her.

I'm not sure if they're A) backing out of the hobby, B) super insanely busy or C) didn't like me.

I dunno, that seems super weird, especially if they're on social media/email/calling other people. It COULD be a "I don't like you" thing, but I hope not. :( I feel like most chazzers are way better dog owners than your average person. If I were a breeder, I'd probably respond to just about everyone here because you'd be better than "hey bro I wanna buy two rotwilders to breed, yo."

I so wish there was a dog club of some sort around here. There is a kennel club, but it is tiny and only hosts one conformation/rally/obedience trial a year. There are no training clubs, no meet-up groups, no nothing. The only "dog thing" we have is a dog festival with "competitions" (best dressed/best lookalike/best smile/things like that) and a few vendors.

That's it.

Maybe it's because I didn't spell Chihuahua as chawawa. Maybe they'd answer if I did.

Gabby passed her CGC on Monday. She has turned into a pretty reliable working dog. I love it.

My friend from Ohio was here for a few days and while her puppy will likely need surgery, that should fix his leg problem long term. The professionals are trying a couple different/new things for one more month to see if he improves enough but that means she will be back in a month too!

This week has been great already and we have a rally trial both days this weekend. Hooray!

So I'm on my way togo pick up a whippet who may be Shrimps sister **** you craigslist. I am on the waiting list for a well bred pup and will not be keeping this one! But I don't want her to go to the highest bidder either. Who wants a pretty little long haired female?

The obvious answer is move to Michigan.

I want to move somewhere with ALL the dog things, but S/O loves his job too much and is scared he won't be able to find another one as awesome as what he has, so it'll probably be another 10-15 years before I am out of this hellhole

Georgia surprisingly has a lot of Dog clubs and events. Just saying!

So, I now have "Bella" at my house. She's a cute little brindle who has obviously been through quite a bit. Sold at 6 weeks, two weeks with this family who 'don't have time' for her, by the way the kid has dropped her a few times. But she seems to like Haley, and I think she'll settle in. Oh, and Bella has one more thing- a penis! :yikes:

So was surprised, and said 'oh, Bella is a boy?'. They were shocked. Really, you've had this dog two weeks and failed to notice that he has an outie, not an innie? Oy.

:rofl1:

We had a foal that a filly until about 24 hours old when someone asked why "she" had two umbilical cords. But two WEEKS?! And the breeder never said "here's your boy"?

Are you keeping the name Bella? :p

Lol, I'd be changing it to Bellamy (like the hot guy from The 100). Close enough, BUT a boy's name.

But ugh, hearing he's a brindle shrimpy kills me. If I were able to, I'd totally take him :p

I saw a post on a facebook group where someone was talking about their girl dog and that they couldn't believe it when they found out she was a he when they went to the vet for the second time and the vet pointed it out to them. (I'm assuming they kept saying SHE or HER and the vet was like: Umm.. you do realize this is a male?)

Then when people were like how did you not know it was a boy? the person was like oh I had suspected the people gave me the wrong gender. (but then that made her original post not make sense if she knew).

People are dumb.

Thank god boy-Bella is male and brindle or I'd be twiddling my thumbs thinking about it...I'm not so good with the self control when it comes to the skinnies!

Addie went to her first puppy class! It was awesome. I was having a lot of anxiety, so glad hubby went too. Turned out I had nothing to worry about. The trainer was so nice! There were shrunken agility obstacles all around (teeter board was just enough so it wiggled, jump had the bar on the ground and the two uprights). We practiced handling, different people handling our dogs (Addie got a little antsy after the 4th pass  but she did better than the Toy Aussie who couldn't even handle coming to me a seat away!), let them off leash several times. Addie and the Rough Collie (be still my heart) we awesome buddies, til the Collie accidentally stepped on her and then she withdrew the rest of the night in play (watched the others run and goof iff).

I found out she is a water snob. She won't drink out of the bowl after the other puppies drank and preferred her ice water in the truck when we got done :lol-sign:

We have to practice "watch me" which has been a miracle - got it in 2 tries and listens to me say it and pauses long enough for me to get her leash on. And sit in various positions around us (front, behind, sides etc).

I am SO GLAD we are doing this class!
