I wish I had a training facility of my own or like somewhere when I have free time (like right now) I could pack the dogs up and go and hang out there. Preferably with agility equipment. The backyard just isn't enough :p.

The dog I wanted to adopt got adopted. :( He was perfect. Some sort of small smooth coated merle border collie mix.

I has a sad. :( Will keep looking. It's probably best to wait till September to adopt anyways.
I tell myself that means there's a dog that's EVEN MORE PERFECT for me out there when it happens.

Yet another update (sorry guys, it's just exciting and nerve wracking!)

After a lot of conversation with a lot of people:

The Houla is mine if I want her.

So is the houndy girl, I could take her after meeting her on Tuesday with Astro.

The Golden-Pei has some sort of hip issue. Don't know exactly what, I'm checking into it...but that's pretty sad at 10 months old :(

eek. Good luck on whoever you choose. I'm so excited to see your choice

I'm disappointed we've gotten no pictures of any of these dogs.
Yeah, where are those pictures?

I think I just decided that I want to get Bubbles in to agility class. Uh oh.

I got to visit my friend's new BC puppy this morning. Oh dear god, the puppy fever is strong now!
Every time we get a new puppy at work it makes me want another. It usually doesn't last long as I have to deal with their needle teeth and lack of any impulse control for a bit :p

Sorry, I'm on my phone doing all this while my internet gets set up, dunno how to post pic links on my phone and I haven't taken any pics myself yet.

Tomorrow I'm going to grab some supplies (a crate being the most important thing). All the possibles are between 40 and 50 pounds so it won't matter which dog I choose, as far as crate size, and I want to be prepared. Also going to take Astro on a hike, just the two of us, so I can think about these decisions and how it would affect both of us. The houndy gal could come home as early as the day after tomorrow if she turns out to be exactly what I'm looking for and without the health issues of the Golden, and I want some last alone time with the wrinkle-mutt just in case.

Hi, welcome to my garage. Is there a brand of dog food I can help you find?

The food that's actually in the bins is not even the same as what the bags are. That's the sad part.

Let me know what you think of the Great Life. It looks really great in theory, but I haven't heard great things about it from people who've fed it!

Juno gets that for dinner and raw for breakfast, we've been doing this for maybe a month now? No complaints, everything is the same as when she was on 100% raw except she's been gaining some much needed weight. :) Maybe it'd be different if I fed it exclusively but so far I'm happy with it!

Had plans to go to a really big disc competition this weekend a few hours away to see some cool dogs and play with mine. Found out Patton can't play because he's not old enough. I am sad. I don't know whether I want to go now or not. I did have plans to pick up a friend's dog for some training, but I don't know if it's worth it with Recon's current skill (he could still play) and the drive/money... I *would* be saving money by not entering Patton... and Recon *could* use the field time even if he doesn't earn a single point...

I am so conflicted. Tell me what to do, Chaz.

That sucks!! How old is he again?

Come anyways. You can join me in not being able to really compete because of stupid rules. Didgie is so not going to be out of heat, she's just starting to hit standing heat right now.

Haha deal. That's a bummer about Didgie!

He's 10 months, which *is* pretty young, but all the other venues only have age rules for freestyle, so I was spoiled and forgot to even check.

That's new, Didgie wouldn't have been able to compete last year if they had that rule. That is a pain.

But seriously, we can always head out early after little while and go hike around at my dog park!

I think it is new effective may of this year... And any dogs younger who had already competed were grandfathered in... Darn us for not starting sooner with rollers! :p

That honestly sounds like an awesome plan though! I'd love to see that place!

Mr. Golden-Pei needs surgery that costs 2 grand. Not really a cost I want to incur right off the bat, though I do feel bad for him :( I'm trying to think logically and coldly (I could get a Pei pup from health tested parents for less than that, and that's not including his adoption fee - and he still might not be sound enough to do even low level sports after the surgery for all I know). But eugh, he's such a sweetheart.

Less than 24 hours until I meet houndy girl.
