Seriously, it's not quite THAT bad except for the few women who do have severe problems, and honestly they should consult a doctor. Low-dose BC, among other things, could help at least lessen severity.

I have never had severe reactions. Any reactions at all are entirely physical and not so "horrible" that I can't do what I want or need. A couple Advil works wonders. It's mostly just a bother dealing with it for 5 days a month, and just in case I don't wear white during.
Actually, I'd add 'have him get up three times a night, change and wash his underwear with cold water and soap' to the list. And maybe 'change the sheets afterwards' too.

I wish I was kidding too. Although maybe I should buy diapers for myself :lol-sign:

For the record I've seen specialists and they didn't find anything wrong with me, and the BC makes me really sick (even the lowest dose).

And a couple advils? Lol... make that 3 or 4 every 4 hours for 3 days.

Okay, my situation was a bit different, but... ya wanna know what my specialist gave me for pain of this sort?

MONDO-ALEVE! Like, Aleve, but 8x the strength. Taken twice aday. So that's like, taking 16 Aleve per day.

... and it sorta kinda not-really masked the pain. I still had that pulsing, deep ache that made me not want to do anything. Heyyy, good thing I was on mandatory bedrest, eh?

THAT, my friends, is mind-boggling.

Nothing wrong with marking your territory. :rofl1:

Fran, have they looked at the lining of your uterus? My mother had a similar issue when I was younger and they ended up doing some surgery on the lining. She started taking Black Cohosh root afterwards and has been fine ever since!

I feel for you. The only doctor who ever believed mine were as bad as they were was my dermatologist. He gave me a prescription for codeine -- I think it was empirin #4. They made the pain bearable -- almost. Two every three hours usually.

I've found now that red wine does wonders.

Yes they did Zoom, I suspect they didn't really do a good job though... my twin sister had to have that surgery.
