Well, Ollie went to his FOURTH forever home last night. I told John about how on Saturday I’d taken Ollie to visit with Mom. I was holding him while the nurse moved mom from the bed to the wheelchair. It was pretty excruciating to watch as mom made zero effort and she needed to tug her into place once in the wheelchair. Ollie just stared at the whole procedure with his ears perked up but not panting. Just solemn. It’s like he knew mom was in bad shape. And last night it was like he knew this was a new chapter of his life. I walked him off leash around the entire perimeter of his big yard. It’s like he staked it out. Then inside the house he went from room to room and sniffed every single corner of every single room to make sure he checked it all out. Then went outside with the boys and ran around with them then laid down on his back doing rolly pollies letting them rub his belly. They had all new stuff for him including a tag with their number and “Ollie†on it. Weird, cuz when we got home Maggie started freaking out wanting to play and zipped around the house like a terror! That’s AMAZING especially as she’s been in mourning up until now from Hunter. Then this morning John told me Oprah, who finally came up from two months in the dark cat room laying on a roll of fiberglass insulation, went up to Maggie who was laying on a rug and started cleaning Maggie’s paws!!!! I think OPRAH is the new head of the household!!!! I heard from Cherie this morning that Ollie had a very good night but ended up going from bed to bed to bed to bed in sleeping shifts… I think he’s picking our HIS boy!!!!
