Old Yeller has always killed me... it's such a sweet story. I used to cry during Babe, too, when all of the puppies were sold. :(

nothing makes me cry i am a stoic man and have no space for emtions.

Ricky.. you might want to get some therapy.. thats not healthy or normal!!

I agree with 8 below. I cried in the theatre (esp knowing it was based on real events). Not a dog story but I cried in A am Legend. I wasn't expecting to be that sad with the dog.

(lol the movie Dekka is in thats shooting this week and next should be a tear jerker)

How can I forget Beethoven Movies... I don't really remember the whole story but I love the kids and the mom when they show all their love for Beethoven... though their dad was totally against about the idea of having Beethoven... Especially when Beethoven had his pups in part 2. The story is so funny but when the drama is on can't help but to be sad... (but that happened when I was young though)...

Does annyone have a movie about a dog that made you cry? I always cry at the first Airbud movie and the first Homeward bound movie. I also cried at the end of Marly and Me because it reminded me of my dog that i had to put down. So what about you guys?

I so agree about Marley and me. My late grandfather had a miniature Schnauzer named Skippy, he was so sweet and affectionate. We took him in when my grandfather couldn't look after him, Skippy was 11 at that point. Sadly, he was put down at age 14, due to old age and his quality of life had decline. Watching Marley and Me reminded me of Skippy.

Homeward bound at the end makes me tear up when Shadow limps up as fast as he can and says "I worried about you so!"

Eight below makes me cry too, it's such an emotional roller coaster!

Old Yeller is also really sad!!

I'd never heard of Hachi - just looked it up on youtube and even the trailer got me crying!

I absolutely bawled at the end of Marley and Me. Apparently the book is even sadder (and better), so I kind of want to read it.

I don't know if I can read it if it's sadder in the end. Great movie though, I'm sure the book is to. It's a sad reality to owning a dog though

Plague Dogs. Oh my god, Plague Dogs.

For anyone who doesn't know, it's an animated movie about two dogs who escape from an animal testing lab. There is no happiness in that movie, and the ending had me crying for the rest of the night.

Just thinking about that movie makes me tear up.

You can watch it on Youtube. Here's the first part:

I've not read plague dogs but I have read his other piece of work Watership Down. These are all good tear jerkers.

My dog Skip, A dog of Flanders, although it's not exclusively about a dog Radio Flyer

MArley and Me gets me every single time, I always end up thinking about dogs we've lost and what I'll do when Buster gets old.

What did it to me the most was the vet saying "He won't feel a thing, he'll just slip away" My dad was with Skippy when we had him euthanized, and our vet said the same thing. It's a peaceful way to go, but heartbreaking for the family

Hachi is a real tear jerker. It even made my OH bawl like a baby with a quivering voice and all. To this day he still blames me for making him watch the movie.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) - IMDb

I wondered if anyone would mention hachi. What a great dog movie and even more awesome dog! But I cried & cried throughout it!

More tear-jerckers for me were Old Yeller and Eight Below.

I watched My Dog Skip last night and even my 7 year old brother, who NEVER cries during movies, had tears streaming down his face. That one ALWAYS gets me.

Marley & Me... it's one of those movies that I always say "WHY did I do this to myself??!?!" because everytime it's on TV, I end up watching it 'til the end, and then cry by myself.

Hachiko... the one with Richard Gere, true story. I watched that by myself one night and was literally just bawling, holding my pillow tightly, LOL. I've never cried so hard.

A Dog Year is going to come out on DVD next week and it looks super. It's based on a book and it's about a guy who takes on a high energy BC. I'll let you know how much I like it when I get to watch it but the synopsis on the back of the case makes it sound sad.

Turner & Hooch makes me cry too, yup. Just about every dog movie ever made makes me cry.
I have Marley & Me but haven't watched it yet. I cried hysterically reading the book - seriously, I cried for like an hour - and I know the movie will be really hard too... I just honestly haven't plucked up the courage to sit down and watch it.
I wanted to see Marley and Me, but I knew the end was sad, we have Netflix, and everytime I'd see it I'd think "I wanna see that, but. .." until last weekend when my mom said "Marley and me is right there, let's go with Marley and me"

90% of the movie is not sad, but the ending . . .bring a box of kleenex. My dad heard us laughing through it, came down the first time and we were laughing. He came down at the end, and we were all crying.
