Hachi is a real tear jerker. It even made my OH bawl like a baby with a quivering voice and all. To this day he still blames me for making him watch the movie.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) - IMDb
Same here. Really wonderful movie - cried both times I watched it.

The book Marley and Me made me cry, but not the movie for some reason. The book was much better, I think I just really was not a fan of the movie in general. Still a good watch (and read) though.

Anybody seen Stone Fox? The movie was OK from what I remember, but the book will leave you needing grief counseling. Just thinking about it makes me cry.

^ OMG, I remember that book! I can't believe it now because it was really sad, but we read it in class. Jeez, I must have been really young because I remember they asked us to write "the last chapter" and I made the kid get a new puppy that was white with a black spot on its head, LOL.

In the movie, Stone Fox gives him a pup at end, so you weren't too far off of the Made For TV version.

I don't feel too bad for blowing the ending because I don't think the movie is available anywhere. I still didn't blow the REAL ending that was in the movie and book

You know, the curious thing about that book is that I read it back in elementary school, and yes, thought it was sad, but honestly was not torn up over the ending. I think I was more concerned with the quality of the artwork

Then, reading it, 9-10 years later, the book made me bawl! Really great book :(

I'm not embarrassed to admit that Hachi made me cry. I couldnt help it, the loyalty that dog had for his owner, even after that tragedy. It was unblieveable, and very touching. Good movie. Anyone who hasnt seen it, they should.
