Does annyone have a movie about a dog that made you cry? I always cry at the first Airbud movie and the first Homeward bound movie. I also cried at the end of Marly and Me because it reminded me of my dog that i had to put down. So what about you guys?

I cried when the kid tried to get rid of Air Bud. I also cried during The Fox and the Hound.

I saw a movie when I was a kid (1970s) - can't remember title, but it was the most upsetting one I can think of. The father didn't like the dog, so he took it with him 'fishing' on a boat. Tied a rope around it's neck and the other end to a cinder block and threw both overboard. I screamed and cried for hours!!! I wish I could remember the movie, just to know why he did it (I was so young, that's ALL I remember from this horrible movie). It was on regular network TV, so don't know if it was a made for tv movie or if it ever got theater release.

Tears always flow ~~~ either sad or happy !
Yeah, I tend to get teary over cute and happy, too. And, believe it or not, watching working dogs work.

Oh- here's one that had me crying that nobody mentioned- Turner and Hootch. Lots of "Aaww" tears there, as well as sad ones.

Turner & Hooch makes me cry too, yup. Just about every dog movie ever made makes me cry.
I have Marley & Me but haven't watched it yet. I cried hysterically reading the book - seriously, I cried for like an hour - and I know the movie will be really hard too... I just honestly haven't plucked up the courage to sit down and watch it.

I agree with all the above!

Where the Red Fern Grows, Ace of Hearts are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head lol

Benji movies make me cry. Especially the one where the guy kicks Tiffany down the stairs - that scene always does me in.

Same here. The end of the book was hard to get through - so many tears.

Eight Below was a pretty sad movie, too. :(

Old Yeller, definitely, and Lassie Come Home, and the Incredible Journey movies.

And I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I cried during Bolt...the Disney cartoon.

ETA: And not a dog movie, but has anyone seen The Red Pony? It's based on a John Steinbeck novel I think. OMG, I watched that as a kid and I still can't bear to think about it. Worse than Old Yeller.

I just remembered one that had me curled into a ball on the floor bawling my eyes out- the documentary "War Dogs". The culprit is the scene from John Burnam's book "Dog Tags of Courage" where the kennels were being bombed and the soldiers weren't allowed to get the dogs.

I agree, Air bud is so touching... I was so young when I watched it like i was 6 or 7... And I really love dogs, I cried and mom just noticed it, I wiped my tears and pretend I wasn't affected...
